This was the first game at the Carlisle Grounds since the second lockdown started as Bray Wanderers faced Galway United. Bray were league leaders going into their penultimate game and knew that two wins from two would ensure promotion back to the Premier Division. Anything less than a win for Galway would end their playoff hopes.
This would have been the largest crowd of the season at the Carlisle Grounds. Instead, only players, volunteers and officials were able to watch on.
