    Is this paid propaganda? Who pays for this psychological nonsense? Google the following to know the truth about Alaska and Hawaii: “Alaska is an Apartheid State” and “Notice of Fraud to USA and the Holy See on the maladministration of Alaska and Hawaii Indigenous Nations” The deception of the racist regime United States of America and its racist political subdivisions Alaska and Hawaii are laid bare in truth about history. Why was Alaska and Hawaii listed for independence in the United Nations. They never belonged to the United States - Americans are easily brainwashed. Or naturally deceived?

    People knock Travis because he abandoned his pregnant wife and small daughter in Alabama when his businesses there failed, and for being a hothead who got all his men killed by trying to defend an impossible to defend position, but I think that's a little unfair. He was suffering from syphilis, taking mercury for treatment, and that can affect both thinking and behavior.

    Why don't you give the figures for the forces faced and the casualties that occurred on both sides? Roosevelt in his autobiographical book wrote "That day the Spaniards proved to be brave enemies, worthy of honor in their bizarreness". In that battle there were only 500 Spanish replacement soldiers with 2 guns. And they fought against 11,000 Americans, 12 guns and 4 Gatling guns. Letter from Roosevelt requesting help from Senator Cabor Lodge of July 3 «Tell the president that, for heaven's sake, send us every regiment and, above all, every battery that is possible. So far we have won at a high cost, but the Spanish are fighting very hard and we are very close to a terrible military disaster ; we must receive help, thousands of men, batteries and food and ammunition. Result of the battle United States Victory. US state withdrawals 1,240 Spanish withdrawals 267. Me entra la risa con los soldados de USA.

    • @MrFeynmanDiagram
      @MrFeynmanDiagram 2 года назад

      Well, the Spanish troops were equipped with the best rifle of the time, had a suitable uniform to fight in the tropic and had a war experience of more than 50 y. in colonial and civil wars. On the other hand, the American troops were equipped in some cases with old black-powder rifles, they wore wool uniforms, and their war experience reduced to the slaughter of Native Americans in the Indian Wars ... That explains for instance a 76% of casualties amongst the so-called 'rough riders'... Well played, Teddy!

    Let us not forget that the Cubans were anxious to get rid of the very taxing Spanish rule in 1898. It would be politically incorrect for me to express the reality of the societal effects of the conflict, so I'll skip it. I'll simply say that, as American citizen, my great grandfather returned to the island from Tampa and his properties were restored thanks to the intervention of the USA. From that point on, the island became very prosperous due to the sugar trade with the United States; then, in 1959, the same idiotic Cubans let a communist dictator take over and poverty set in.

      Black soldiers had the largest impact in taking San Juan Hill. Roosevelt had the press and media around him to make him look good, but giving credit to black soldiers at first, but chose to not give them credit later on for fear that it would make him look bad. Teddy was all about bravado and making himself look good. The 9th and 10th infantries and 24th calvary all black had a major role and that's left out of the history books. As a teacher of history, and I am still learning, I present this other history nugget to my students that is acutal and factual.
