I remember an episode in which the caller spent the entire call trying to calm down his barking dog, saying "shut it !" continually for the duration of the call. Anyone know if that's on youtube anywhere ?
I LOVE Down the Line! Have series 4 and 5 been released on CD yet??? I have the first 3 series and it never fails to make me laugh, imagining the reaction of the stereotypical Radio 4 listener. Strangely, I have heard several "serious" interviews and phone-ins on Radio 4 that could easily have been taken from Down the Line. Wonderful. Thanks for this.
That first clip is from series 4 episode 4. Sadly the bloody BBC have only released the first 3 series on CD but occasionally you'll find some nice chap sticks full episodes from series 4 onwards on here but they tend not to stay available for too long.
Stop going to the lap dancing bar 😂

@BK BK sorry - no
I hunted down the "will you shut it!" dog-barking guy when dogs kept showing up on work-from-home virtual meetings.
It's Series 2, Episode 1: War and Chocolate. It was a call voiced by Harry Enfield.
@@BriansBrain Thanks - Got it !! archive.org/details/downtheline1-3/Down+The+Line+(s02+e01)+'War+and+Chocolate'.mp3 It's at 19:42 lol
That was my children’s favourite. It once featured as a trailer, before John Humphris introduced the news.

So funny. The producers at the BBC radio should have a listen, and learn what FUNNY means. I can't believe the white that gets on radio 4 these days.
