Stream Shadows and Flowing Clouds | What is the order of adding organisms to the aquarium III ?
After over a month of cultivating aquatic plants and gradually adding organisms step by step, it’s time to introduce more expensive fish, such as Pantanal flag tetras.

With the arrival of winter, I’ve begun adding the second batch of organisms to my aquarium. This batch also focuses on utility fish and shrimp to control algae and enhance the aesthetics of the substrate. 10 panda corydoras were introduced to clean the aquarium substrate and prevent the accumulation of fish waste. 6 Tiger Otocinclus were added to help clean green algae from the glass, wood, and...

The planted tank’s ecosystem is now relatively stable, and the brown algae are gradually receding. Therefore, a batch of more visually appealing shrimp and utility fish has been introduced. Added Cherry Shrimp to enhance the aquarium’s visual appeal and further improve algae removal efficiency. Introduced Flame Tetras to manage other soft-bodied organisms and microorganisms in the tank. Added S...

A brand-new planted aquarium, still using the dry start method. The coral moss is growing well and looks natural. In the initial stage, only a small number of shrimp were introduced to control algae, maintaining a relatively fragile aquatic ecosystem. In the early stages of setting up the tank, some brown algae caused the aquarium to have a slightly yellowish tint. However, as the ecosystem bec...

This is a stunning looking aquascape. We'll done!
😮😮😮😮
Tank size 100cm x 50cm x 50cm. I did a dark start for 4 weeks and had plants for another 3 weeks. Everything was good. No diatoms and algae. I switch on my lights from 11am till 7pm. Using Week Aqua lights A430 Pro. Setting RGB 28% each. No UV. CO2 from 8am till 6pm. Dose APT 3 daily 5ml. About 50% water change 2 times a week. Water temperature 25 degrees Celsius. After 7 weeks and did a 90% water change and washed the canister filter before adding fishes, 2 Armano shrimp and 1 snail. Then Diatoms started. I bought Seachem Paraguard. Washed the tank, cleans the rocks and trimmed the brown parts of the plants, mini hairgrass and Cuba. Next day plants and filter cover with Diatoms again. Is there anything else that I can do? I bought more Octo, cherry shrimps and snails. Will add them later as I want to quarantine them first. Will the Seachem Paraguard help? I read that Diatoms due to Silicate and Phosphate and thus I bought Seachem Paraguard
It seems like the aquarium’s nitrification system has collapsed. Normally, you should avoid cleaning the filter canister unless there’s a significant blockage affecting water flow. Even if cleaning is necessary, only clean the sponge section. At this point, you should patiently wait for the nitrifying bacteria system to re-establish itself without adding any chemicals. Once the nitrification system becomes stable and robust, the diatoms will gradually disappear. If there are too many fish, it’s best to reduce the number and avoid overfeeding to lower ammonia levels. Utility shrimp can be maintained within a reasonable range to help with cleaning.
@@FireflyArchey I only have about 11 fishes. Do not include the otocinclus. Currently only 1 otocinclus in the tank. Bought 4 more to help clean the tank. 1 Malaysia horn snail. Bought 2 more. Will add them after quarantine for a few days. Was thinking of buying 5 more snails. Do you think I should? I also bought some cherry shrimps. Will also add them after a few days of quarantine. Normally I will quarantine for at least one month but the Diatoms are getting worse. I only feed the fishes once very 2 days. Will continue with the Paraguard
You can add them. If it’s tetra fish, feeding them once or twice a week is sufficient. For freshwater shrimp, a 10-minute saltwater soak is enough before introducing them to the aquarium. The salt concentration should be slightly higher than that of regular soup salinity. There’s no need to use quarantine medications.
@@FireflyArchey I have White Cloud Mountain Minnow. When I quarantine I do not add medications. I just have them in a separate tank and keep them there for about a month. Not sure if I should quarantine the snails and oto longer. Cause last time I waited and the white dots came out after 1 week
It’s possible that ich parasites have been introduced. In that case, consider using Esha Exit for the entire tank. Using a slightly reduced dosage shouldn’t place too much strain on the nitrification system. Of course, if no signs of ich are currently observed, it’s best to avoid using it.
the over growth makes it look sooo much better than when you had it ranked for the contest
sure, this is the best time
Wow insane acquarium bro
Beautiful aquascape :)
I've never heard of anyone doing dry start for mini-coral moss. How did it transition to water? Did it start "browning" a lot? Any tips? Thank you so much for such great content for us supporters.
The key is to cover the aquarium with plastic wrap. While the lights are on, spray water every 2 hours. Once the moss begins to grow, you can reduce the spraying frequency. After approximately 3 weeks, you can add water and transition to underwater cultivation.
@ any issues as they transition? Or is it 100% smooth?
Beautiful.
What fertilizer you dose?
just aquarium soil
@FireflyArchey for emersed grown you spray fertilizer?
no
So peaceful video.
怎么保持鱼缸那么干净的

How do you attach your moss on the driftwood? Beautiful scape…

@ Thanks for the reply… Do you mix anything like yogurt for your dry start?
@@arvinlopez453 nothing ,yogurt may cause mold.
@ thank you😊
👍👍👍 💙💛
Your videos mix two of my biggest passions, Aquariums and piano, I play piano btw and I really think this music fit so well with your aquatic work :D. Also if u had few tips to succeed with coral moss ? I presume good lights ofc, (what light u use on this tank?), but yeah yours always grow so well, I wouldn't be against few advices from someone as experimented as you, mine have the tendency to stagnate, probably coz they are in too underlight parts of my over-planted tank lol, and because I reduced the light power to try to control a slight algae issue few months ago. Very nice evolution of this tank anyway, perhaps it wasn't at its best in time for IAPLC contest unfortunately but it is for you and for us now 🙂, so beautiful !
thanks, I have 2 NETLEA AT6-7160P, about half power (50w*2), 6h/day. Temperature: 23-25 degrees Celsius .
@@FireflyArchey Thanks a lot taking time to reply me ! :D Yeah I didn't know these lamps but it seems they are really performant and restate so beautiful colors, especially the green ones and also reddish colors, about plants like about fish btw, seems to be great device ! Yeah for the moment I use the lamp sold with the Aquael ultrascape 90, my tank, 240 liters, and I turned off one of the 4 tubes to fight this oedogonium algae issue (with also easy carbo), I elevated the lamps too to reduce the power even more, but now that the issue seems to be fixed, I could perhaps increase the power again, and who knows, I will perhaps think to buy a more performant lamp with something like yours, seeing the result in your tanks I will be tempted by it soon or late :D, really amazing result/colors !
Your aquariums are beautiful, as is your cinematography
Beautiful and stunning
Siamese Algae eater will Eat the shrimps when they grow bigger. Do you intend to remove before they get to the size they will eat the shrimps?
let it be, my aquarium have so much plants to helps shrimps hiding
Amazing. De-stressing video, Well done
Nice! how did u manage to grow coral moss like that? did u blend it up and paste it on for a dry start or whats ur method? love the video.
yes, just dry start
Nice growth and form on the coral moss! What temperature do you keep this plant at?
21-23℃ in the winter
I so love riccardia moss, it looks so natural as u say in description, and grows so well in your tank :D. I always have a smile when I see u made a new video haha. Your videos are so beautiful and relaxing, so inspiring, one more time good job dude ! for the tank as for edition/music btw. It's funny I have CRS in my tank and was wondering about adding few CBS too or not, and u make a video with CBS shrimps, or anyway something a bit similar, haha how will I resist now XD, I want them too :D My hesitation is that it seems with time the red ones will progressively disappear if I remember right, the red gene being a recessive gene, the crystal black would take over the crystal red so idk if I add them or not.
next time i will adding CBS , when the aquarium ecosystem is well-established. Don’t mind degeneration, nature is the best things we’re wanted
@@FireflyArchey Yeah the shrimp is a bumble bee lol, I rewatched the video and this time I didn't miss it :D, yes they look like CBS but without white, rather transparent and black. Yes you're right, let's leave nature do its work :D, and black bees/CBS are rly beautiful too, like the CRS, and a mix, (even if at the end the black one will probably take over the red one), would be great :D Thank you and I'm looking forwards to see the evolution of this new tank, and wide shots :D, but that sounds rly good !
Nic wood
Wow❤
Do you know the specific type of rock used ?
萬天石 Manten Stone
Did you glue the moss to the Wood? How come it does not float while submerged? 😃
dry start aquarium ,when it grows up, then add water
Looks great!
insane every year there are hundreds of aquarium at this level.

What to say, so beautiful ! from my point of view this tank have a place in the Top 100 IAPLC, and after seeing the entire results, I can say this one clearly rival vs some of the top 27, but I'm not a judge haha. Anyway, I so love the little brownie ghost popping up over the riccardia :D, it perfectly match together btw, and with such an great editing, you made an amazing job ! You're really a jungle/forest scape master ! What is the name of this beautiful little guy that looks a bit like a small bi-color gyrino in a way, I have no clue what fish it is ? after a quick search on the net, is it a garra flavatra ? Rly nice lil fish anyway, I hope to can find them to add in mine, if my water parameters are adapted for them ofc. Never seen them in the shops in my country yet, not near me anyway, or I missed them perhaps.
The hardscape of the aquarium might not have been completed until February, which was too late. The aquatic plants didn’t reach their best condition by the time of the competition in June. y, it's garra flavatra, not too sensitive to water quality.
@@FireflyArchey Ok i understand, yes it's probably a very big challenge to make an aquarium at his 'top' in time for such contests, anyway your scape is really amazing, jungle/forest aquariums is what I prefer in aquascaping, and yours are always really stunning ! Yes I discover this fish thanks to your video and I think they could nicely complete my cleaner crew :D, with my shrimps and otocynclus, they seems to be rly interesting fish, keeping reasonable size compared to the other algae eaters like gyrinos/epalzeos, or most of loricariidaes, and they look rly nice :).
What is this red bucephalandra? Congratulations on the result, this assembly is exceptional!!!
