Né en Guinée en 1979, il y fait ses premières classes musicales. À la fin des années 1990, il quitte son pays natal pour émigrer au Liberia. Puis, avec son père ils s’exilent à Boston, aux États-Unis. Après quelques années passées chez un oncle en Caroline du Nord, il a alors 15 ans, il s’installe chez un ami rasta auprès duquel il découvre le rastafarisme. C'est ainsi qu’il commence à chanter régulièrement en passant ses journées entre “playgrounds” et studios de répétition avant de rejoindre son père en Martinique où il enregistre ses premiers morceaux. Depuis la sortie de son dernier EP en date “Get Ready” en 2018, Lyricson continue de travailler d'arrache-pied sur de nouvelles sonorités.
