I like how no one is reading what the actual cause was as mentioned in the description!!!!! For info I put this video up years ago and still I am getting comments saying battery - which is wasn't. I even bought a sodding expensive battery because years ago no one had a clue. I still have the battery but not the car!

The fix is replace speed sensors!

Issue is with one of your wheel speed sensors is not working. This brings the car into a mode where only rear while drive works. I had the same issue and this was diagnosed by Porsche dealership. They also suggested to change all the speed sensors on all wheels. I had this done from an independent garage which was cheaper.

My logical theory_ First Wash/Scrub with 'Dawn' dish soap' or equivalent_ Dry Thoroughly _Then Spray with Auto body Primer'(anycolor) let Dry for 24 hrs outside in the Daylight_ Then Spray with a 'Non Voc' Non Toxic Outdoor Paint (Any Color) _ If nothing else seems to work? _Seal It! _ Going to try this on ours _

Don't you love Tesla design, it's almost impossible to unplug the speed sensor in the back. I looked at my M3 rear speed sensor. and it's almost impossible to unplug. Hopefully, It won't break down until I sell the car.

Unbelievable but true I am still doing this. I have painted months ago with rolled on enamel/rustoleum. Needs a light rub down and then a polish. Not sure why but I find the whole thing extremely tedious hence the 6 years to get this stage. I thought I would finish it this year but lost interest again! I will do another video of current stage. I got my paint technique sorted in this time after numerous tests and experiments. Final result is decent enough and more importantly allows you to address any potential new blisters relatively easily - ie not having to have a full respray etc. Purists will hate it and no doubt moan moan moan away!

What about using duck tape to cover the rubber, do you think that would help ? I soaked them(50 lb CAP dumbells) in vinegar and dish soap for 2 hours and they still smell.

I needed to get this working again and discovered it would not work. After much messing around I traced the fault to the transmitter. Simple battery to PCB corrosion issue. Open up transmitter, remove PCB. On back of PCB are two brass rings that contact the battery pack positive and negative. One of the brass rings was noticeably corroded. Clean it up and works fine again!!

I bought Eleiko hex dumbbells and they also smells rubber.

I had a new red one the same model as the silver one.. worked for five minutes... then nothing.... the company just sent me another one..... no quality control...

Hi mate i have the same V1 battery i checked it literally the other day. Which is a shame! However i still love it anyway. I fancy taking mine to the drag strip too. Mine is also the legacy pre facelift P90DL. It's 2015 with 89K miles about 12-15% degradation. Have you taken it back to the drag strip since? Was there anything you could have done differently to possibly beat the M3P without having to change the HV battery to V2/V3?😂

Hi there, great video - I have a slightly later version and have been a complete numpty - only the seconc time I used it, I accidentally used it on a 24v vehicle. There is one transistor that has gone bang on the main board, unfortunately I can only read two characters of the identification marks. It's the transistor attached to the big heat sink. All I can read is 'D8...' the rest of the front of the transistor has blown away. Could I ask a massive favour and ask you to open up your gun and check the identification for me?? Thank you in advance Nick 🙂
