    Great sound👍 any issue with mic feedbacks?

    • @leewilliams7704
      @leewilliams7704 6 месяцев назад

      No notable problems with mic feedback. Feedback is very minimal, being that speaker arrays radiate in 180 degrees or a wider disbursement pattern.

    What are those other speaker stacks either side of the drum kit?

    • @leewilliams7704
      @leewilliams7704 6 лет назад

      There is a stack of four B1 Bass modules on each side of the drummer. The drummer is playing through four on the left side an the bass player is playing through the stack on the right side.

    You all sound great. Love this. Gonna sub. Are you all still using the Bose L1's? If so, how durable are they?

    • @leewilliams7704
      @leewilliams7704 6 лет назад

      We are still using them and have been for 13 years. The units are extremely durable and road worthy. Neither myself or my bandmates ever had any issues or repairs.

      @@leewilliams7704 Can you plug your own desk in? Rather than have to use the Tone Match?

    I have a question, was that guitar running right through the L1? Or did it have a preamp?

    • @leewilliams7704
      @leewilliams7704 6 лет назад

      The guitar was ran through a Boss GT 5 effects unit and then routed to the Bose. However, the Bose has its own preamp as well, so essentially the guitar was using 2 pre-amps. The Bose L1 Model 1’s did not feature any reverbs, delays, overdrive or modulation, so many guitarist will use stomp boxes or additional pre-amps for personalization of sound and tone.

      That's really solid information.

    Great sound and band! I'm a little late to the party but if anyone could explain routing for vox and drums that’d be awesome. I'm about to pull the trigger on my 3rd and 4th L1.

    Can I use a separate active subs (as I have an existing ones) as an additonal to low end of the system. Can the L1 manage the additional sub?

    Hi, from Mexico, I wanna buy a boss l1 system, you sound great... but the same question.. do you really need the floor monitors?, It`s supposed that Its necessary only the l1s.

    • @secondplanet
      @secondplanet 11 лет назад

      We were not dependant on the floor monitors. The floor monitors were used by the band that followed us. In a large venue of 1,000 seats plus, floor monitors may be of some benefit. For venue of 500 seats or less, floor monitors would not be needed in most applications when using the Bose L1's.

    I did not use any guitar amps at all on these events that are posted on You Tube, but ocassionally I will use a tube amp to get the tube amp flavor from the pre amp in addition to the Bose L1's. I have miked the amp and ran the sound through the Bose L1 and also I have ran a 1/4 cable from the pre amp out of the tube amp and ran that into the Bose as well. That way, I get the best of both worlds. The benefit of tube amp and the wide disbursement of sound from the Bose.

    Each musician played through their own independent systems with the subs positioned next to each L1....so the breakdown was Guitar (1 L1 & 1 sub), Drums (1 L1 & 4 subs), Keyboards (1 L1 & 1 sub) and Bass (1 L1 & 4 subs). Usually I will run the vocal mic through my L1.....which is the same unit for the guitar. In my opinion, the Bose systems are the only way to go compared to a traditional system. Far less setup time, far less worries and far less components to connect and setup.

  • @Whynotband80
    @Whynotband80 13 лет назад

    This means that 4 sub bass and drums used independently of the other instruments! or was it just the location where they were located on the "sub"? Finally, your opinion of a Bose audio system compared with other traditional! Thank you!

    Actually, there was a total of 4 L1 units and 10 subs. The bass player and drummer are using 4 subs each. The guitarist and keyboardist are using 1 sub each. From the video camera angle, you cannot see the subs behind the guitarist, drummer or keyboardist.

  • @Whynotband80
    @Whynotband80 13 лет назад

    Sorry but you are only using 4 units L1 with 4 Sub?

  • @secondplanet
    @secondplanet 13 лет назад

    The drummer used about 7 mics and a 12 or 16 channel mixer, that was ran through the Bose L1's. We were not dependant on the floor monitors. The floor monitors were used by the band that followed us.

  • @secondplanet
    @secondplanet 13 лет назад

    The least amount of L1 units will totally depend on what you are doing. Rock Band? Acoustic Blue Grass? Large Venues? Small Coffee House Venues? Depending on the application 1 unit may be perfect, other applications may require 2, 4 or 5 units or more.
