I face engine heating while riding in bumper to bumper traffic. As the bike is being ridden on 1st or 2nd gear, pressue on clutch plate and there is no breeze hitting the engine to keep it cool, this is normal. If you feel the engine is getting hotter than usual check the oil level and grade of the oil, it should be 10W40. Check the wheel bearing if the wheel is moving smoothly and chain slack. Also check if the oil is original castrol, it should have genuine castrol hologram on the bottle.

Due to my single life I've not received any feedback on pillion seat comfort 😂 but you can use gel seats or the cushion seats to increase the comfort, you'll find a video on Fovera cushion seat on my channel. Also you can add a small backrest or a top box which will act like a backrest for your pillion

You're right. I always use engine braking. The front brakes are decent but the rear is weak. Try bringing the bike to a stop by just using the rear brake and you'll realise how weak it is. I'm thinking of upgrading to EBC brake pads

@@clintsride You're right. I never use the rear brake outside of parking lot. Even if it had good stopping power, I wouldn't use it because the the rear brake pads alone cost as much as a free service.

Even though the reliability factor has been improved in Royal Enfield, it still has many quality issues. Eg chassis breaking, switch gears/joystick(Himalayan 450) not working, sensors failing. These are not faced by all the RE owners, but whoever has faced them has reported it. So there is a huge risk factor involved while buying a RE motorcycle.

It's not a major issue. Take it to a local mechanic he'll adjust the throttle freeplay nut that is near the handle bar
