TUM Hyperloop first passenger ride
The Hyperloop test track on the Ottobrunn/Taufkirchen Campus was opened for the first passenger journeys by Bavaria's Minister President Dr. Markus Söder and Bavarian Science Minister Markus Blume. The Hyperloop capsule is fully certified for passenger operation. In the video you can see the first passenger ride, made by the TUM Hyperloop Team on July 10, 2023.
Now the research group will primarily investigate propulsion, levitation and vacuum behavior. With a 24-meter-long test tube at the Ottobrunn/Taufkirchen campus, Europe's first real-size Hyperloop test segment has been opened after less than a year of construction.

Geodetic Measurements on Hochvogel
Просмотров 518Год назад
What is geodesy? Geodesy deals with the exact measurement and visualization of the earth in order to understand it better. One of the geodetic projects is the monitoring of Hochvogel, a mountain in the Allgäu Alps with an altitude of 2592 meters. Millions of 3D points are generated here by periodic measurements with LiDAR, GNSS, camera and total station, revealing geometric changes with high pr...

Would tum be optimal for a bachelors in aerospace engineering? Is it one of the best unis or just so-so?
TUM has consistently ranked as the best German University and the 39th best uni in the world overall. Engineering degrees at TUM were ranked among the top 20 best degrees world wide (QS World Ranking). It has a very entrepreneurial character and is overall a very good uni that I’m glad to be able to study at.

@@ilanvinograd9498 the faculty aerospace and geodesy is based in Ottobrunn. But aerospace is lectured in Garching.
@Ilan Vinograd lectures will be 50 50 Garching and Ottobrunn for the winter semester 2022. But it will shift to Ottobrunn exclusively in the next semesters. So you should find a place to live where you have reasonable long ways to both Garching and Ottobrunn and you might want to move closer to or even to Ottobrunn once your lectures are complettly held in Ottobrunn

Are the labs of combustion or combustion chambers?
Looking forward to starting in october. Would have loved to do the internship at MTU in Hannover-Langenhagen. Sadly they didnt offer anything this year. But I could find a spot nevertheless. Please TUM call on your partners in industry to enable pre study internships next year. This year it was really quite tough to even find companies that were willing to take an intern at all.
Is there any Research Assistantships offered during the program ?? It'll be beneficial to fund my studies there !
