This map seems large because of how much content there is to parts of the map
That's called map density. Where you squeeze alot of stuff around the map. Gives you the illusion it's larger than you think it is
Infact I know a map in snowrunner that uses density for it's advantage

Tbh i actually never knew the map would be dense at all. It has never been intended to be dense.
