Szoboszlai forces defenders to push up and press him and teams to come out of low blocks more which is a huge advantage, especially now that he has started to really get more goals and from distance. He is always a threat and teams will now this and can't allow him space on the ball just outside of the penalty area

If Szoboszlai plays without restraint, he's capable of being the best 10 in the world. Evidence? His first 4 games for Liverpool when he never knew the system and played freely. He instantly looked like a world class talent because he was just playing naturally, before Klopp tried to turn him into Hendo 2.0 when he's way too good to be shackled in a role where his main role was to cover whatever fullback was on his side. Both 8s under Klopp (usually Hendo and Gini) were given very little license to make runs from deep, or vacate the areas left wide open by the 2 fullbacks. Obviously the fullbacks were Klopps main line of creativity, so he sacrificed creativity in midfield to cover Trent and Robbo. That's also why Gravenberch was never going to be a Klopp 8. He's too good technically and not enough of a workhorse to play the role that Gini and Hendo were happy to do. Very glad Slot realised that Szobo has scary potential when the shackles are OFF. His athleticism and energy is phenomenal and wasted in the other role. He's only now starting to loosen up again and play naturally. I'd be telling him "ROAM FREE!!!" and it looks like Slot is doing just that! Building the team in a way that allows for that number 10 to have the freedom to pull defenders out of position any way he wants. He's a Rols Royce of an athlete and it's amazing to watch when he gets into a rhythm!

I'm impress with his stature work rate off the ball prowess. We was complaining he was carrying the water bottle. So did henderson. However he has the attributes of both him, & Milly. He's also better in final 3rd. On his way to being a complete robust player. Keep it up😊
