    Thanks for the video mate. I've seen so many mixed reviews and was convinced there were a load of people who just don't know how to use tools and loads complaining about rough cuts on the back edge where it will never show. I reckon you've taken a much more practical view and realised it can just get the job done. Cheers.

    I used to work for these scumbags in Rayleigh. You had to wait all tea break just to use the toilet because they only had one male toilet. They treat agency and foreign workers there like animals to put it kindly. I met a lovely Asian lady there who was very friendly and worked at a quick speed, but not super lighting speed, she had only been there a few days and they got rid of her just to get another agency person in who wasn't even half as quick as her. I saw her the next day because she lived near me and she looked so upset and mortified about being fired. I explained to her that they get rid of people constantly, they're looking for that one in 30. The people that have worked there for some years don't even get paid anymore then someone walking in from the agency on £10 an hour, they work unbelievably quick and get paid next to nothing. Fisco is basically taking advantage of vulnerable and foreign workers, people that are already down on their luck. I hope the top management their get something similar happen to them 🤞Utter scum bags

    Compare it with a Japanese pull saw bro or a Germany made hand saw like Carl Schlieper, you will cut easier than this one. It looked like that this saw had a serious drag when pulled and pushed.

    • @moosta271

      Agreed. I have that saw. It's horrible and overpriced for what it is. Your teeth could do a better job...

    • @grumpasav
      @grumpasav Год назад

      @@moosta271 I agreed up until this morning. Bought one of these a while ago and was very disappointed with it, especially that the teeth kept catching on the push stroke - Then I discovered Paul Seller's videos on saws and setting/sharpening and realised that the problem with the fatmax as supplied from the factory is that the teeth have too much set. I used Paul's trick of gently flattening the set between two hammers and the difference is incredible. No more drag or catching and a much finer, cleaner cut.

  • @muttley1956
    @muttley1956 3 года назад

    Appalling tutorial. If you’re doing cross cuts attach the black perpendicular stop. It prevents the plank from sliding. Place something of the correct height under the ends of the planks to prevent them clattering to the floor.

    • @thejigstar9541
      @thejigstar9541 3 года назад

      Thanks for the advice muttley and apologies if this video has upset you but I was making an angled cross cut and the black perpendicular stop is exactly that. Perpendicular 90 degrees. I think I even mentioned that it would have been nice if the stop could rotate on its axis. But it fixed at 90 degrees. Also I was in a rush that day so I just bashed that footage out. If you check out another example my first video of the LC 600 laminate cutter in action where I had more time on my hands and used the black stop, including something to support supported the floorboard. Tell me did you go to finishing school on how to wield a barbaric tool such as a hand held saw? You probably did lol. I find it funny, only a brain dead grunt would make such a comment. If you feel so passionately about it why don't you make a video and post a link and give us all a master class on how to use a saw lmfao. But thanks for the comment all the same.

You do not need to apply pressure if you're working on really soft woods such as pine etc. Let the weight of the tool do all the talking or the brad nail safety trigger will dent the wood.
