Honestly buddy it's your radio not anybody else's if you like the sound leave it I can understand if a repeater owner has some kind of DTMF controls that the mdc1200 could possibly affect but that's pretty unlikely nine times out of ten it's just some old grump that has nothing better to do and they're the ones that ruin the hobby for the younger Generations like us -kg5ijs

Hey man, Im an officer and my department issued me a Motorola XTS 2500. Every time I hook up an accessory mic to it I get this low volume through the mic. Its so low you cant hear traffic through it. You can still key up as well with the accessory mic no problems. Once you unplug the accessory mic the volume works fine through the radio speaker. I tried another accessory mic and had still had the same outcome. So I know its not the accessory mics its the radio accessory connectors(the last part of the video you showed) that seems to be the problem. Maybe you can help me out... im not sure if this radio is fixable. Thanks.

Would the dtmf come across if there's a ctcss tone on the repeater?

I have a Motorola ht1000 it wont turn on and wont do nothing it worked fine the other night when I was transmitting on the ham repeater with a mdc1200, since the night i had it scanning and it was fine till morning when i turned it off and turned it back on ? Help!

It depends on what flashcode you have and system package for MDC1200 I believe if it's H35 it has MDC1200 some firmware at 5 or 6 maybe R08.71 or R08.73 maybe. But anyway I love the MTS because there grate for people to use for cops and rubbers . Kids playing on FRS. TO PRETEND THERE TALKING ON A SYSTEM. SOME PEOPLE IN my town have them. And I program them for people who ever wants channels

I have a JT100 VHF for 2M work and MURS +several HT100's for MURS I have been using the NMN6191B speaker/mic's had no problems with distorted audio, however one of the mics does have low audio output on receiving. Crossed checked with a known good cable problem persisted. Decided it was a fault with the PC board inside the case or something. Does the HT1000 itself have this distorted (loud) audio issue on receiving? I'd get another speaker/mic that is known to be good and cross check with the public safety mic.

Flashport means the radios is firmware up-gradable with an SRIB setup to add special features and rebanding The green do means the radio is FM approved and has all the proper seals and shields for use in a haz-mat environment like around blasting caps and explosives. This radio is part 90 LMR approved but not Part 95 (MURS) approved but in all reality no one is enforcing type acceptance. They will work in Ham but performance is slightly degraded due to ham bands being outside of the radios designed operational bell curve if you go below 146 MHz via hacking. The biggest issue is these radios are old, their internal RAM/ROM sets are starting to literally wear out and fail and once that happens, the radio is good for a paper weight.
