A little advice that I learned the hard way is to always check interior comics you buy in hauls, especially if they belonged to someone's else collection. You might find interior signatures on older books, sketches like yours (I found a Spiderman sketch by Mike Wieringo) and once I even found a $50 bill if you believe me 😅

That's a pretty awesome find! I didn't expect for their to be a ton of early silver age and even a little golden age books in that lot! You 100% got your moneys worth!

You got a good deal. Just as a guess, there may be a couple of hundred bucks worth of books there. One thing. If you look in the upper right hand corner of some of these books, you will see the comics code authority seal of approval. Any thing with the CCA seal is NOT golden age. You seem to know quite a lot about comics.

That's an awesome deal. Great Golden and Silver Age grabs. I used to read those old Harvey Comics as a kid.

The W.S.. run on Thor is in great shape..mos def some future $$. The old war comics, all great..may appreciate more because of thier rarity. ( Look for some of the 60's-70;s Sgt. Rock by Kubert, great potential and getting scarce!) Plus the Perez " Crisis" series is a big winner, since ya have the entire story in good shape ( already worth lots on e=bay) Stewart's 1st G.L.., I think ya broke even at least.

Aquaman 3, The where Monster Dwell drawn by Kirby pre Marvel, the old DC titles, the early J.I.M with Thor vs, G.G., He got his azz handed to him again about 2 years later in Captain American and the Falcon 148-( I have a mint copy, valued at 85.00) Sam's costume was Green/brown, no wings and a real fighting Hawk named Redwing, along with the Original Nick Fury The Charles Schultz, Flash and some other goodies...Fair deal to me.

This is the problem with RUclips. Anybody can make videos and post them, regardless of their knowledge or experience in the field they are in. You're looking for a 2000AD with the first appearance of Judge Dredd? Great, so is the entire collecting and flipping community. Nice to see you grab a box of junk books for 50 bucks- the amount of bandwidth wasted on making and uploading this video was hardly worth it. Let the pros handle this, my dude.

Nice pickups

Nice finds. I think you found some great books. I would say you are right in the ball park with $50. I am glad you rescued those older comics, even if they were low grade. Now the magic starts. Like books attract other like books. More 15, 12 and 10 cent books are going to find their way to you.

The Archie and War comics are the coolest part of that collection. The rest are so mundane.

$225 is a small price to pay when building a collection. Another spectacular snag! I'm a big fan of Green Lantern comics.
