Yes, I’ve always used guard off, which makes it easier to maneuver and takes off a little weight. As for the face shield, I plan on getting one for sure. I didn’t like the bulky feel so never got to it. I’ll check out the Advance harness next season. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

The 240 and 251 look pretty similar. I’ve never gotten my hands on a 240, so I don’t know how much of an upgrade it is. I upgraded from the FS200, an old workhorse. It’s like night and day.

Absolutely! Keen Uneek sandals are fantastic for water sports. They dry quickly, making them perfect for various activities. The only thing to watch out for is that sand and small rocks can slip into the openings. But overall, they're durable and comfy for water adventures.

Yea I think they just do that. They still cut great tho but I agree they vibrate a lot

Is it the metal retaining cap that is vibrating for you? Does it it like wobble around? Not the plate above the blade, but the cap sandwiching it on at the end that the final nut threads onto. I went to put one of these on today, and when I tightened down the final nut, the blade was snug right between that torque washer and the torque plate behind it, but that medal retaining cap wobbled around. Im using the type that is one piece, the new style apparently, the guy featured above is using the old style which is two pieces (3 if you include the nut), and from what I can tell, it doesn't have that wobbling play in the metal cap.... It squeezes on tight with the nut. I tried looking for awhile for answers or insight but have found none thus far. It'll help finally being home now to properly see what's up.

I feel like if you don't realize you're blade ain't put on right and you can't tell that's where the vibrations coming from you probably don't need to be running a weed eater play a professional to mow your grass before a blade flies off and chops your shin

I would need more details. Most likely electrical short, damaged gear box, or insufficient lubrication.

No, I have no experience with that particular trimmer head. However, all the Stihl trimmer heads I have purchased in the past were interchangeable.

Yes, they are solid machines when properly maintained. So far, the only issue I've encountered was a broken pull cord.

Yes, most standard hose should work.

I would recommend the 5000 series for close shave. It comes with the “precision shaver” head.
