Dial of Destiny, I felt was unnecessary since, Kingdom of Crystal Skull which I felt had more “Unnatural” series of plot twists such as the aliens in Akator however, the ending was certainly more fitting way to tie the knots, Indiana and Marion reconciling and getting married as well Indy becoming a father to his teenage son who was named after both his father and grandfather. Therefore The Last crusade was the final chapter of the main Trilogy while, Crystal Skull served as the epilogue for Indy’s social life as a Professor of archaeology🪨🤠! Dial of Destiny ruined that plot element of this franchise especially the killed of Mutt who had shown to be a worthy heir to his father’s legacy. Finally, Seeing how Dials of Destiny the only film that doesn’t include parts of Spielberg or Lucas work and production. It’s perfectly safe to mark as non canon.😅

I understand that Helena Shaw is a polarizing character in DIAL OF DESTINY, but I actually do not hate her. I admit that I did not care for Helena in the first half, but she eventually grew on me in the second half. I believe that Helena was misused and underutilized by the film’s script which prevented Helena from reaching her potential as a fully-developed character. Nevertheless, I give props to actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge for working with what she was given as Helena Shaw. For what it is worth, I would be interested in a post-DIAL OF DESTINY spin-off novel or miniseries for Helena Shaw. I would especially love it if the story involved Helena discovering Indy and Marion's long-lost grandchild who is the offspring of their son Mutt. Thus, Helena could play a role in helping Indy and Marion find closure for losing Mutt and making their family become whole again.
