This is a revamped version of 'What'd I Say,' 25-80 Take 2 the main part. This is a different version to the movie so it appears at times to be out of sync with what Elvis is audibling singing. Elvis sings different words to the final movie version. This remix has brought the backing forward and it really rocks as the backing pushes the song along quite nicely. The bigger the star, the quicker they burn out. RIP to the greatest of all time 🙏
Elvis never burnt out. He was ill all of his life, This would eventually catch up with him and sadly it did. Other things happened which made matters worse. The medication which was required, took its toll and he became addicted. The fact that these drugs were addictive was relatively unknow at the time Elvis was prescribed them. That along with his idea that if one was good, then two were better all added up. It wasn't the drug addiction that cost him his life, it was that of many unknown factors, even to his doctors. Such that didn't come to light until his autopsy and others, even later. Why is it that in the main, that everyone has to look to Elvis' dependency on prescribed drugs and point the finger. Yet, the Beatles were largely left alone during their time, yet they were pretty deep into the drug culture of the time. And known of what they took, in whatever form they chose, were prescribed. There were four Beatles, going through the same experience. Each there to support the other, yet there was just one Elvis, blazing the trail which all would then follow, including the Beatles. He alone had to soak up all the pressure, face all the pitfalls that were yet unknown and get through on his own. He did a whole load better then any before or any that have since followed. And he out shined them all and continued well after the Beatles, who also started after him. Elvis kept reinventing himself each time everyone thought he was finished. If Elvis hadn't been tied to the movies by Parker, allowed to escape and express himself with good material, he'd have become even bigger than he ever was. Two many fingers in every pie. They didn't want to upset the golden goose, yet instead they killed the golden goose because they didn't give him his freedom. As Elvis once said in Loving You, 'You're trying to sell me like a monkey in a zoo!' They caged the greatest talent this world has ever known. And what's worse is, we never saw the best of Elvis. Every time he began to shine, they shut him down.. They didn't want him to get new dreams and aspiration's, they wanted to maintain control, ensure that their share of the pie kept coming. World Tour, not on your life. Elvis wanted that so badly, yet it was denied him, time and again. Royal Variety Performance, Parker made some outrageous demands and it never happened. Elvis would have gone in a heartbeat and performed without charge. No, Parker wanted a private audience with the Queen. Any sign of fire and Parker put it out. 1973 and the Aloha Special, that was never Parkers idea. The idea was floated in 1963 by the Elvis UK Fan Club. Parker buried it, until 10 years later when he floated it as his own. The Comeback Special, Christmas with Elvis. Thankfully for once, Elvis had a producer who spoke with him and the two along with the production staff, worked with Elvis and listened. The result, 100% all Elvis and what a performance when finally let lose. Yes, as John Lennon said, 'Before Elvis, there was nothing,' and the truth is that since, there has been nothing. TCE
His voice was always so powerful and perfect l its amazing it was just natural for him healthy or not he just sang perfection no matter what

great thanks for the link to that 4:3 version👍🏽 However, the sound in the 4:3 video is not as clear as here in this 16:9 video. For example, you can't hear the TV orchestra in the background in this 4:3 video, or was that not there in reality? but as far as I know, Milton Berle Show always had a television orchestra. But I'm not sure whether it was used here. Do you have information of it?
Incredible performance rip 🤴 King
That first smile gets me every time 😢❤
Thanks for posting. Amazing that this was controversial.
To understand just why it was so controversial you have to study the era. This was the 1950's and you had singers like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, all crooners and the likes of Pat Boone, clean cut the perfect boy next door image. All of who virtually stood still behind the microphone on X marks the spot. No movement. You had songs like 'How much is that doggy in the Window.' And they all receive quiet applause. And then along comes Elvis, hips swinging, the camera can barely stay focused on him. Leaning back on the microphone and screaming 'You ain't nothing but ah hound dog in your face. The girls scream and mild mannered middle class America doesn't know what's just jumped out at them from their normal sedate TV viewing. Even Television was fairly new back then. Not every family had one at that time. And you've got this kid from Memphis causing all the teenage girls to rip their pants off and throw them at him. It was sex on T.V, they'd seen nothing like it. You were barely past the days of dating in which you required a Chaperon. And you've got this guy, singing baby I wanna play house with you. You really need to take a listen to the other music out back then. There were no suggestive lyrics, it was all quite sedate. If you sat on the couch with a date, there had to be at least one foot on the floor. Elvis back then was considered wild and dangerous. They were worried that he would corrupt the minds of the youth of America. TCE

Lame video. Why did you cut the feet off him in this video? The original shows the full body down to his feet. You sacrificed the full body view of this classic performance for better sound???

Are u a football goalkeeper?
Hi, Strange question, to ask when the subject is Elvis, but yes. 🙂 Right now I'm suffering from bruised ribs after colliding for an on coming forward. I got the ball first. It happened during a torrential downpour. One on one, I went down and I slid, just as if I was on ice. Got the ball and went straight through him. Amazing that I had no broken bones. Obviously you play and have seen my name else where. Keep playing, have fun and enjoy. I love the look on their faces when you've stopped what they believed to be a certain goal. Take care. I hope you liked the video, I must get around to doing more.
Love him ❤️
Mi bello rey en su ultimo concierto como siempre entrego todo a su publico❤❤❤
No fue su ultimo concierto...
Two of my sisters were at this concert in Rapid City, SD. I wonder if this is the first time he played piano during a concert. He could not read music so this was learned all by ear.
I doubt if this was the first time that Elvis played the piano live as he has performed this song live many times.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ miss him .greatest singer right there
Yes, there will never be another. Truly one of a kind. TCE
Finally this video with its original sound. Thanks!
This man defied gravity
He defied everything that was and changed everything that we knew and turned the world of music on its head. Before Elvis there was nothing, thank God for Elvis. Now that he's gone there is a vast void, filled only by his legacy. There will never be another like him...
Elvis fue un METEORO !!!!
I hope you like this video. 🤟
This is the best version of it where they hit the end of the short television version and the audience is so into it that Elvis always unpredictable, goes back into it and does it at half tempo. And the band of course immediately follows because they were so good. How delightful. This is that performance that set off that huge firestorm.
Some great songs came out of his movies. This is one for sure!

@@JohnDeCarteretElvis are you kidding me??? That is just terrible! Lisa was probably so angry about this. I sub'd to your channel and love the work you have done!! Great job!!
@@JohnDeCarteretElvis Hi again John, I thought I would share this with you. This is part of a conversation that a medium had with Elvis. Whether anyone believes it or not, it really put into words what I've always felt about Elvis and I feel like you would appreciate this too. It brought me to tears ❤️ " ....So he wants us to be aware that this love everybody has for him, the love everybody had for him… he really would love it (laughs) if people would bring that up, allowing it even for a moment, that love worship and vulnerability with something higher. Because he’s saying that’s what people saw in him. That’s why they worshiped him. They didn’t worship him because he was good-looking or because he had all this talent. They worshiped him because of what passed through him that they felt. That made them weak in the knees. That made them lose all consciousness in what was going on in the moment and only he existed. They worshiped him because he was a channel for that. And he wants that understood. That is God. Everything that you love in him is God. Not Elvis."
@@Stephaniewashere Hi Stephanie, Thanks for that, but I don't think Elvis would have appreciated the feeling of being worshipped. He didn't like it when fans called him the King. He said that there was only one King and that was Christ. I'm not saying that this didn't happen, but I do doubt that it was Elvis the medium was in touch with. Elvis I believe would have been more concerned with the state of the world knowing just how much he cared for those who were around him and those who he came into contact with and felt that they needed help. Elvis always showed his love for God and would want people to look to God, rather than to worship him. Elvis so often performed gospel during his concerts, he often had JD Sumner and the Stamps sing gospel, 'Why Me Lord especially during the show. There is little doubt that God used Elvis to bring people to Him. I know that listening to Elvis sing gospel opened me to God. And I feel that Elvis was used to do likewise to so many. His gospel singing was Elvis at his best. As with his dislike of being called the King, I believe that Elvis would much prefer any who for whatever reason have or do worship him, worshipped God instead. Elvis cannot, could not save you, but God through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ can and does. We are to look to Christ, not Elvis for salvation. Elvis would be mortified at the thought of people worshipping him and not God. He loved his fans and they loved him back. That's the level Elvis was happy with, but the thought of worshipping him, would have been too much. As Elvis said, I'm just an entertainer. What he might have become in later life, we'll never know, but he would have always pointed people away from himself towards God. Thanks again Stephanie, but in my opinion, you should take such things with a pinch of salt. Elvis I believe is with God and wouldn't be giving interviews to mediums, but there are demons out there who are only to happy to deceive. The world as when he was alive continue to look to him, purely out of greed. They do not appreciate Elvis for what he was or what he achieved. It is time that the world appreciated his extraordinary talent and remembered him that way. Let Elvis rest in peace, while continuing to enjoy his music, his movies, his legacy and remembered him for who he was. Likewise, we should remember him for what he means to us.
@@JohnDeCarteretElvis you are right, Elvis made it very clear to the medium that he wanted people to love and worship God, not him. Elvis was a vessel, even though he was a human and therefore not perfect. He would have preferred to do what he did, without the fame. That level of fame would have been too much for anybody to deal with.. sounds like he was just ready to be done with it, to go home and be with God again, and he did ❤️
@@Stephaniewashere I firmly believe that God took Elvis because the world didn't appreciate him. Everyone just used him and he grew bored being chained to the movies and the limitations imposed on him through the lack of good material offered to him. He wanted to tour the world, but the Colonel had other ideas. Elvis was far more talented than we'll ever know. The Colonel basically stifled Elvis' creative side. If Elvis had been allowed to express himself and tour the world, I believe that he would have lived a much longer life. He would have been more focused and would have looked after himself better. He would have been up for the challenge of a world tour. And would have got himself in shape, just as he did for the Aloha Special. But the Colonel denied Elvis the challenges that he needed. Instead he undertook the same old tours, the same cities. Yes, he loved the fans and they loved him back, but there was no challenge. He could have sat on the stage and read the phone book and they would have been happy, just to be in his presence. Instead, Elvis let himself go,, and with his illnesses and the prescription drugs taking their toll, he gave up and God took him home. If Elvis had lived, got well; I wonder what he would be doing now? Would he still be touring or would he now be a preacher and proclaiming the word of God? Elvis is better off now and the world no longer has the greatest entertainer singing up a storm. That's something that I'd like to do, but I'm not certain that is what God wants me to do. At least not yet.
this is julie webb married you back together hangout marriage with me love me started dating the boy elvis Aaron Presley husband wife sex
This was the version from the film This is Elvis with the added drum beat and brass arrangement but with added echo on his voice. Sounded great.
When this is Elvis was released, there was no way that echo could be added just to Elvis's voice on what was then a mono recording. This was originally a mono recording when I started putting it together. I actually can't recall from where I got this version, all I recall is that it was the best quality that I could find at that time. Just enjoy!
He's like Michael Jordon of music. He provided the energy, the fans followed. Not the beating on the chest and the hands waving up to try and make the fans cheer louder for something that was not that great.

Next to the Beatles the greatest performance Elvis Presley on the Milton Berle show better than anything he did on Ed Sullivan, hot Elvis , his greatest single performance!
The Beatles, never performed on The Milton Berle Show. The Beatles pale in comparison with Elvis. The Beatles individually or even as a group could not stack up against Elvis, vocally or in performance. They couldn't even generate the excitement that Elvis could by just wiggling his little finger or standing still. But they were good, I'll give then that. The best group ever. Second to none, except Elvis.
@@JohnDeCarteretElvis I like both the Beatles and Elvis both , sorry but I think your opinion is wrong The Beatles Beatles head 27 records on the charts at the same time it's all right that you like Elvis better but I don't think you understand the historical importance of the Beatles, to each his own !!!!
@@clintprovance8047 Yes, the Beatles have historical importance, but Elvis carries far more historical importance than other artist(s) solo or group. And that is a fact., simply by being the first and breaking down all the social barriers. Elvis was the first to do almost everything in the music industry. First to sell a million,. First to sell over a million in advanced copies. And again, first to sell over a million before it had even been recorded, such was the anticipation. Elvis has out sold everyone many times over. And he is still selling in vast quantities today, some fifty years after his demise. The Beatles were done and finished almost as fast as the sixties had ended. I think by the end of 1971/72 they had split. If there hadn't been an Elvis there would not have been The Beatles and that came from them. Elvis carved the way and thanks to his inept manager, it wasn't a smooth road. But tally up the hits, the awards, Elvis comes out on top. Even Paul McCartney was astounded at all the awards Elvis had. Until he'd seen them for himself, he said. I always thought we had more than Elvis, but I was wrong. Facts speak louder than words. Elvis is the Tops, but I won't deny the Beatles their place in history. I like the Beatles, but they just didn't have the charisma that Elvis had. The only part where they had it all was in the writing of their own songs. Though again that was a partnership. And they wrote some great songs, but singing and performing, Elvis had it all. Plus, he could play the drums, Bass, Lead and rhythm guitar. And Paul himself will vouch for Elvis' ability to play the Bass. In fact it came as quite a surprise when he found out that he could. And Paul didn't hear it through the grapevine, he witnessed it first hand. And Paul was a great bass player. And as for 27 records on the charts at one time, that's not bad, but Elvis out did that on just one chart. He filled almost the entire top 30 Album chart at one time which included the entire top 10. That is going back some and was also charting on numerous other charts around the world. Don't get me wrong, the Beatles were great, but they just couldn't transcend across all the genes that Elvis could and did. They had plenty of energy as a group. In fact to me that was their biggest mistake, splitting up whatever the truth behind it all was. As a group they could compete with Elvis while he was making all those bum movies his manager contracted him to make. It made him physically ill. But once the Beatles split which I wish they hadn't as I did like them, but as solo artists they never reached the dizzy hieghts that they had as the Beatles. It was the combination of their various talents, yes talents unlike the majority today that made the Beatles who and what they were. Elvis on the other hand had to provide everything himself. And unlike the Beatles, he had so many trying to stop him and many others. He opened the doors and the rest followed, including the Beatles. I'd quite happily listen to the Beatles for a few hours, which I did until I got bored, but with Elvis that never happened. The Beatles though are the only group in my record collection and there aren't many solo artists that made it either. My collection is something like 95% Elvis and the remaining 5% is spread across, The Beatles, Roy Orbison, Jim Reeves, Dean Martin, Buddy Holly, Lisa Marie Presley and one or two others. But yes, I agree the Beatles deserve a historical place, they set many records for others to follow, a long with Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison they were the first to write their own material. But when it comes down to performance, they fall far short alongside Elvis. He put on a performance as did Michael Jackson, after that everyone else fell by the wayside. What else did the Beatles do beyond play their instruments, that could be called a performance. Before Elvis, they all just stood still hiding behind their microphones. Don't get me wrong, I'm not aiming that remark at the Beatles, they were better than that. They created great vibes with their energy. But as you said we all have our own opinions, but come the end of the day when you pull out all the stats and achievements, then Elvis wins by a mile. I think, just recently one of the records for number ones has been broken. But then that was because the Billboard 100 rewrote it's qualifying rules as to how a number one was judged on how it sold. So many were no longer counted. Elvis wasn't the only one affected, but it was done in order for the artists of today to be able to achieve something. Both Elvis and the Beatles set some pretty high standards sets many records. You watch, in a few years or so they'll do the same again and this time it will affect the Beatles. The best solo artist/performer is Elvis. The best group ever was and is the Beatles. And that's how I look at it. The other way is that it took 4 to get close to achieving what Elvis did and did it first. And without him we'd all still be wearing penguin suits and stuffed shirts. And Elvis didn't just ripped the music industry apart, he set trends in so many other things and ways. His clothes, the styles that he created, he introduced merchandise which opened up another huge market. Elvis was first in so many things which others picked up on. Elvis was just Elvis and he blazed the trail, pitfalls and all which the rest just followed. But, you dig the Beatles and I can understand why, they were one terrific group. And like Elvis they aren't about to be forgotten. And with the trash out there today, both Elvis and the Beatles are likely never to be forgotten and certainly never replaced. TCE.

No it didnt. You just cant hear. No way Elvis' voice got better....Compare Elvis at his best in 1968-1973 to the 1977 Elvis and tell me his was better. It got higher and thinner. His voice was much fuller during the earlier years I mentioned. Stop confusing a higher pitch with a fuller voice.
