@@JustHere999dl try putting that much weight on the front of a garden tractor and see how hard it steers. You have to make short turns. I plan on going with either hydraulic steering or a have a steering setup from a golf cart i may try first. Thanks for watching!

My pump is a Swisher brand 11GPM, my bucket is whatever the tank was that I used with is 42 wide and 20 tall. metal thickness is 1/8" or a little less. Thanks for watching!

The gearbox was already on it when I got the tractor. I don't know what it is. There might be a label on the bottom side where it mounts, but I have not had it off to see if it does. If I tear in to it again I will be sure and look and let you know.

At the time of this video I mainly used a grinder with a fiber disk or a saws all. Now I use a metal cutting chop saw, a skill saw, grinder , band saw, saws all, or whatever it takes. The reason the bar is so high is just to get the ride height to match the back end, and I already had a lot of it built already. I had thought of using two cub cadet garden tractor hydrostat rear ends (because I already had one) but thought it would be too slow, and couldn't find anybody that showed how to speed up a hydrostat. I you watch all the video's you will see that I struggle with drivetrain components till I get to what I have now. With me it is whatever I have already or can get cheaply and just seeing what I can get to work. I could have probably bought a 6 wheel "gator" and built a body on it, but what's the fun in that? Everyone always asks me when I take it to car shows or cruise in's "what did it start out as" I tell them "two pieces of 3" C channel" they really don't understand. It took me 6 months to build working on it on the weekends and I got only about $500 in it. Mostly for the actuators, front wheels and tires, and other small parts. The rest I had already from my collections.

The 4" pipes really give it a deep sound.

@Christian_196 it's a Suzuki four wheeler motor.

I started with a tankless welder, but two years ago I was able to buy a Lincoln tank welder. The pipe around the top of the bucket is metal conduit that i cut a groove in so that it would slide over the edge of the metal and wood of the bucket. Thanks Again!

@@kevinscreations4486 thks again got the parts if old heart let me build whas t Ya have donfore 3 heart attacks and still building project after project so hopefully can make thks last build got 28 2dr Essex and 49 International with 5.8 liter l put in it and my oth toys are 89 firebird with 350 instead of v6 more power last a v8 Garden tractor with 13 inch wheels so far and I'm 68 going on 25 ha ha good yrs marriage 31 yrs sharing keep it up thks for sharing

That was the idea when I started my channel, was to use parts and pieces that I could get for cheap, or free stuff I could collect over time. Once people find out you do this stuff they will give you all kinds of things. Thankfully I have a wife that will put up with it.

It's a Diablo metal cutting blade for my circular saw. It does a great job.

In my case I don't know if it would have made since. Because they were from Amazon there was no instructions I just had to figure it out. Once I found out black was neutral, and not green like I assumed, I could just connect each wire to a battery to see what lit up. I hooked the two yellow lights (because I don't have turn signals yet) in with the other ones all over the truck. The two reds are tied in to a switch on the brake pedal. The two white lights go to a relay that is wired kind of weird. The four wheeler motor uses the negative to turn the indicator light on and off. So the relay has a constant hot to it and it gets the ground from the motor when it is in reverse. That switches the hot wire to make my indicator light and the reverse lights come on. I don't know how many people I would have lost during all of that. Thanks for watching!

Yes, I didn't have anything to tell me where to put each point, so i just had to try something, and it was way off. The second attempt was almost right and the third was perfect. That's how a lot of my projects are done, by trial and error. Thanks for watching!

On both skid plate and cutting edge you can pad weld to add mass to plates, meaning that your adding metal to both as kind of a wear area to protect the bucket frame. I notice a lot of scratched paint when you were repairing

Yes. The bottom of the bucket is 5/16" steel plate that has a bevel ground on the edge. I don't really plan on digging in the dirt too much after I get done with the little section I'm doing now. It will mostly be used for gravel and mulch after that. Thanks for the info.

@@kevinscreations4486 it will still wear using looser materials like gravel and mulch.ya don't have to install them, but it's something to remember that you may have to replace the bucket at a later date without it.

Thanks for watching and subscribing. The previous owner changed it to vertical shaft. He used some kind of 90 gearbox to turn the shaft going into the pump and just have a belt to the motor. I had to make a heavy duty belt tensioner that would put a good bit of force on the belt and also get the belt around the steering box. I did three renditions before i got it heavy enough to work. I don't know how much you can tell about it in the early videos, but you must have already watched them to know it is vertical shaft and your comment is on the video that probably has that info. lol If I tear back into that part again I will try to cover that better, If I can get more info. Yes, I haven't had time to upload anything. I have been trying to get my new business of doing home inspections going. Doing the schooling and certification and everything that goes along with it, and the shop has been a wreck. I about got the shop back in shape and I have a couple of things waiting to get worked on. No, I'm a build as I go, with what I have available to use fabricator. So I mainly just wing it and do a lot of trial and error. It's definitely not perfect, but it does a good job. Thanks for watching!
