The AirGradient ONE monitor measures PM2.5, CO2, TVOC, NOx,Temperature and humidity. These measures can be shown on the display and sent to a server (e.g. the AirGradient platform or any other cloud backend) for data logging. This version also now contains an RGB led bar for visualizing air quality.

The AirGradient Open Air Outdoor monitor measures PM2.5, Temperature and humidity (for PM compensation purposes). These measures can be shown on the dashboard and map and sent to a server (e.g. the AirGradient platform or any other cloud backend) for data logging. The monitor is fully open hardware and available in the AirGradient online shop.

This video explains how to setup the AirGradient monitors on the dashboard and if you have an outdoor station how to place it on the AirGradient map.
I have received a preassembled kit,.. indoor and outdoor. The indoor is recognized by HA fine. The outdoor is not recognized by HA. I believe the firmware of the outdoor is too old: Model: O-1PS | Firmware Version: 0.4.0 Can you PLEASE please pretty-please provide a video showing us how to update the firmware, using a macos. When I try (fail) to do OTA update,.. it fails. The error message says "Installation failed. Failed to initialize. Try resetting your device or holding the BOOT button while clicking install". However I cannot identify the BOOT button in order to press it. And there is no button called "install" in the GoogleChrome window (there is a sentence saying "install airgradient one / openair version 3.1.3 06JUN24"... I am assuming you mean this? But were is the BOOT button? Please make a youtube video video showing us how? thanks.
I ran MallocArray on my AG ONE for a few days after getting it to use with home assistant. I then noticed the 3.11 update was now supported with home assistant. After upgrading I noticed the sensor would randomly reboot. I also noticed at the same time that some of your webpages were not working. I'm guessing the firmware auto reboots if it can not contact home. Any way to take the auto reboot out in the new firmware?

In Cary, NC, my Outdoor AG unit is affected by afternoon direct sunlight. The same thing happens with my other remote temp/humidity sensor.
Can the low cost, consumer air quality/temperature monitoring be used to adjust heat island affected government monitoring?
No sure if I understand your question but the monitor only monitors. It cannot change the temperature of the surrounding environment.
@@AirGradient I'll clarify. As population has grown, especially in urban areas, temperatures have risen over that same growth period. Using these urban areas to show overall temperature rise is thus confounded by the effects the sun has heating surfaces. Many surfaces absorb and store the heat, keeping night time temperatures elevated in those areas. With the introduction of your outdoor monitors, many more locations outside these urban heat islands can be monitored. I think that using many such locations going forward to measure temperature change as well as CO2 and other gases would be very useful to validate climate models. We can't go back in time (without a TARDIS :-) to find out what the older rural areas that have become urban were but we could start tracking more data from more locations that haven't been paved over going forward.

Nice and simple device with good quality sensors. Just a minor correction... the CO2 sensor is not made by Sensirion, it is a SenseAir sensor.
Wow.. this was very informative. Thank you! I need to check the firmware on my outdoor monitors. One thing I noticed with one I had in my unheated sunroom all winter, is at around -35C the PM sensor started to make noise (the fan I assume), so I brought it in for awhile. I have the new outdoor monitor now, so I'll be curious if it has any issues at -35C next winter.

I have had a number of requests to review the AirGradient One on my channel, and actually - I just now got another request from someone asking me to do a review on this device with a link to this video. I think the kit version would make a great video for building, and then testing and reviewing. I just don't have the funds to purchase this right now, but would be willing to promote this kit build and review on my channel. My channel is small, so please check us out, and let me know if you would be interested in having us do a video for you. Outside In is primarily about Air Quality monitor comparison, teardown, and reviews. The only thing that I would like to add to this is a question... Why don't you have CO sensor options? The two most important sensors that I push to people to have are CO2 and CO, so it would be great if you offered a CO sensor as well with the AirGradient One, so please add that option, or is it something that you have already considered?.

Would like to know if you plan to incorporate the status LED into the DIY Pro at some time? Also would like to know if the same will be considered for the outdoor module? Similar to what Purple Air offers as this gives the user a *At a glance* view to know the air quality is OK, Alright, to Hazardous. Please advise me if you plan to update or incorporate such a feature into the two units. Lastly, please consider incorporating an adjustable beeper / sounder into both products. If both features came with this fantastic product I would eagerly purchase the same! Would appreciate if you could reply or offer technical support to perhaps do the same. Meaning updating the software code to incorporate both features along with the parts to do so. Thank You!
