I use the stock motor with a 6*4 prop and a 4S 3300mAh battery. Flight times can be up to 40 minutes if you take it easy on the throttle. I usually land after 20-30 minutes and have a healthy safety margin left.

@@MrProvotroll it has always flown like its balancing on a ball. Wanders off, mainly in the roll axis. Hands off flying is basically impossible. Inav 3.0 has improved it but only marginally. Spent ages tuning cg, rates, throws, thrust angles. Got them all dialed but still rolls off the ball. Flying on 4s.

Haha, my setup is so old it would be difficult to get to parts. I'm old school with analog 2.4 GHz video and EZUHF rc link. If you start now, there are probably better solutions available.

What's your TX btw? What's you typical range to achieve all of this?

@@Eon46 I have tried different setups throughout the years. You will most likely need a UHF system and a 1.2 or 2.4GHz analog video transmitter to achieve a reliable long range system with a low latency.

UHF system for video feedback only, or UHF for both video feedback and flight commands transmission?

Oh boy, I wish that would be true. Unfortunately it's the exact opposite. 🙄 I live in Germany and have pretty much stopped flying here for that reason. Most of the footage in this video is from other countries with less populated areas and more tolerant people. Sad but true.

You will need a UHF RC-link and a 1.2 or 2.4 GHz video link with some high gain antennas.
