Blooming Boho Skirt Explained
Просмотров 169 месяцев назад
Here’s a little better view of how this skirt was constructed. If I do it again, I’d probably just make it a huge A-Line skirt without the pocket inserts, maybe just add pockets to the front. I like the drawstring concept, but you could just sew in elastic along the sides to get the gathered look, but it would not be adjustable. Comment below if you have any questions. Thanks for watching!

Babylock Destiny II (2) Quick Tip # 3: Decorative Stitches Manipulation
back in the 1960s my Grandmother worked at Fred King's clothing store in Red Bay Ala. at the time i was like 8 or 9 and it was my job to run a similar machine and make all the bows for the Christmas wrapping season , I made several large boxes full of bows every year. I don't know that it was exact same machine as this one but I'm sure it was similar but maybe older
Lots of memories were sparked! I sold this unit over 10 years ago, but I bet it is still cranking out bows for someone.
@suzntx do you still use this? I’ve been looking for one. Thank you!
Any new tips to share?
Thank you. Question: How do I avoid the cross hairs from stiching out on my project?
Hi Suzanne, where can I get this machine from?
Buen día como puedo obtener está máquina porfavor
Hi there! I sold this one over 10 years ago. Look on Etsy or eBay to see if any are available.
I'm having trouble finding the correct ribbon. What brand do you use?
Check for 3M Sasheen ribbon online/ebay
Suzanne are you on today?
Did you have a question?
@@suzntx I did, but that’s ok. I found the answer. Thanks for your videos!
Where did you buy the Satin Grain Ribbon?
It’s been over a decade, but I think I found most of it on eBay, plus random estate/garage sales. I sold the bow maker about 10 years ago. It was fun, but took up too much space.
@@suzntx thank you for reply.
Can you make more than one style of bow with that, or just the one? Thanks in advance.
One style only, unfortunately.
I so wish I could hear you!!!! I've got everything turned up as loud as possible, but still cannot hear you. :(
I’m sorry you are having issues with the audio. I’m on my phone and can hear it just fine, so I have no idea what could be wrong. You might try watching via a different device. Wish I had a better solution. Good luck.
Thank you for this video! I just started using the wasi tape method, but its still time consuming and difficult to see where to put the needle at the top of the fabric. I've had my machine over a year, and still haven't learned all the features, but this one will be a life safer!
Hola donde tiene para vender esta maquina y el.agarrador del roson
If you could actually show it being applied and then the finished product would be helpful. Thank you.
ruclips.net/video/yVVbvRPBrWo/видео.html you might enjoy this video I also did several years ago.
Loved this video!
Is there another place we can buy you your collar tutorials since you no longer have an etsy page?
Sorry, I no longer sell them online. However, search for "dog collar diy" and several free patterns will probably show up.
Where can one be bought at??
I found the one referenced in my post at an estate sale…check eBay and other online sources. Good luck!
I am trying to find out how to make a fold/ cut like that on a 45 degree corner using 3” foam for a window seat.
Check out this demo from Sailrite. Hopefully, it will help: ruclips.net/video/zhcEe3z0kig/видео.html
Where do you source your hardware?
Online at cdwplus.com
I can't even see forms on their website and your link does not work.
I’m sorry, Tina, it looks like they have updated their website (probably more than once since I made this video years ago). I’ll see if I can find the new link and update my info. I’ll alert you once I’m able to get that accomplished.
I've double checked with "those who know" and the alignment feature is now included in the most recent version of the software's platform. Check to see if you need to update (updates are always free), if the version you are running does not include the drop down library.
I found very old video! Who watch this in 2021?
Brilliant - thank you, i ordered some from ebay
which programs did you down load to use from Embrillance? I have monogram wizard and they went out. Fonts aren't easy to use with them. I am about to download the program that you use but they have so many different programs I am a little confused
Yes, I know it can be very confusing, but start with the free version-I believe it is called Express. Any fonts that you purchase which come in the BX format can be used with it. The only draw back to Express, I don’t believe you can save your designs. Also, follow the Embrilliance YT channel. I seem to remember one video that compares all the different Modules. Research Thumbnailer and Essentials (v Enthusiasm). I own all the modules, including their digitizing Stitch Artist 1,2,&3. Also, join their FB group: Brilliant Embrilliance Embroidery.
12 yrs omg
Is there a way to fill in the background area of the patch with that software?
Nunya Bizz hi-great question! If you have the Stitch Artist 1, 2, or 3 module(s), you could add stipling or quilting designs. Of course, you could just open additional designs (motifs, flowers, etc) and add them to the background, without SA modules. The choice is yours! Just have fun! 😉
@@suzntx yeah I'm looking for the ability to add solid fill to make 100% embroidered patches without the twill showing.
Hi how do I get the snow man faces?
Great question--I can't believe I didn't mention my source in the description (I'll try to fix that shortly). Search for Snowman on Embroidery Garden's website. Reen has added LOTS of other versions since I made this video in 2015. Have fun and thank you for this question.
Hi there ~ Thank you for the easy to follow tutorial. I'm going to make a vinyl/frame and i think this will be perfect!!
Peggy Herbic glad you found it helpful. Good luck with your project and have fun!
Can you just cut around instead of fraying
Jodie Seila of, course!
Are u working in stitch artist 1,2, or 3
Neither-just the Essentials module. Very easy.
Creepy music!
Where can we purchase them?
I found them on Amazon...
thank you
Best therapeutic video I've ever seen, I was nodding off to sleep within a minute listening to that hypnotic music and your repetitive actions which may I add were not very informative at all 😥😴 😴 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz,,
Thank you so much for the video!
Hi Suzanne! Fellow Texan here-from Midland. I'm a newbie and just have a beginner machine but I'm having so much fun. I love your patch tutorials! Thank you for sharing. Also, I tried the link for the free designs (christmas gift from embrilliance) and I couldn't find a place to download them. I'm guessing they are no longer available. Have a great day!
Hi Deb--Howdy, neighbor! I just checked the link and it works for me. I guess I can't post photos in replies, but once you land on the page, scroll down and there is a link. You may have to be logged into the Embrilliance platform/forums to see the post. If you still have issues, message me via FB (Suzanne Williams Cotney) and maybe I can help you better. Thanks for the kind words about my videos.
Suzanne Cotney thanks- I will give that a try!
You are an amazing teacher! I have learned so much about Embrilliance and how to create some very cool things. Thank you so much for your videos!
Thank you for your kind words. I love this software program and its developers/educators, and enjoy sharing my limited knowledge with others. 😊
What an awesome idea and I loved the video! I can't wait to try this.
Thank you for sharing with us how you add your amazing ties!
Great video Suzanne! TY
Thanks, Kim! I just hated how that Sunday's session's audio sounded. Hope this one helps.
Thank you Suzanne!! I can’t wait to try this!!
You bet! Have fun creating cute hats.
Useless! She wants you to buy instructions on Etsy. 🤑😡
What kind of interface do you use? Thank you
I use a fusible, washable craft weight interfacing. For more information, visit my Etsy shop.
She's good!
Sorry to be negative, but the music makes this sound like a funeral and the picture is fuzzy and distorted.
Hi Elaine. I totally agree about the poor quality of the video, but I shot this almost 11 years ago with a small digital camera. I chose the music because it is "Halloween" themed and meant to evoke an "eerie" feeling. I do appreciate that you took the time to view it and leave a comment. Thanks!
So true...technology has certainly leaped forward and guess I missed the Halloween aspect. I'll watch again and give your technique a try. Thanks.
I can't hear you☹
Not very clear instructions
daydreambeliever hi-if you need detailed instructions, please consider visiting my Etsy shop. Use the code CFCRUclips to save 15% off your total purchase.
Suzanne Cotney I can not find it. Do you no longer have the page?
Hi Suzanne, can you suggest what machines are good for making sturdy stitches on study fabric for dog harnesses for strong breeds? would your current machine be able to do that? I'm interested in some projects to help homeless dogs in central america
oneTree Wholistics I love my Janome 1600P for sewing thicker than normal items. You might check with local dealers of several different brands and see what the suggest, too. A more “industrial” type of machine would probably be ideal, too. Good luck and Happy Sewing!
Awesome - I didn’t know this either!! Thanks!!
For those who do not know how to delete designs, this is a great tip. You can also delete many designs at one time. To do this you go to the pocket the same as you did. Then you click on the pocket with an arrow under it (far left). You then can click on many designs you want to delete (they should then be highlited) and then click on delete and then OK. It may take alittle longer but they all should be deleted.
Karen Brinke this is such a great tip! I’ll give it a try and do a quick follow up to this video. Thanks so much!
You are welcome, sure saves a lot of time. I try not to keep too many designs in the pockets because, as you said, the more you have there, the long it takes to pull them all up. You can always keep them on a stick. Thank YOU for your many tips.
Love getting tips, can’t have too many suggestions. Thank you
