    • @quick455
      @quick455 Месяц назад

      The base lift kit is only 499.95. That's all you need to do the lift using the factory struts and shocks. I opted to used their M1 shocks and struts so that added an additional 669.90 bringing the total to 1169.85. But you don't have to use anything besides the base kit for 499.95, I just splurged for the hell of it on the extra shocks and struts.

      I would max out engine TM, Goat Rope Garage has a good How Too for those adjustments, far easier than me trying to go over each one on tat tab. I also like to make sure my RPM limits under the DFCO tab are all about 500 higher than my shift points in every gear to help eliminate hitting those on shifts. You could be hitting one of your limits or it could be TM kicking in. Hard to tell without logging it and watching what is happening

    • @quick455
      @quick455 3 месяца назад

      True you can paint any vehicle this color but this truck was one of 37 that came that way from the factory. Add to that it was a super rare one year only color, so 1 of 37 period, that's why they made such a fuss about it. It cost an arm and a leg for the paint, it's one of the most expensive paint jobs to date we've done. And unfortunately as much as I'd like an all original F100 with low miles to go for this, it never would even get near 1/4 of this sale. The only numbers matching original low mile American vehicles that do good like that are classics and collectables (mostly muscle cars). It's just not there in the truck market, we've tried. We went for the middle ground in keeping as much originality in the looks as we could but with all modern equipment. Two guys really wanted it and they battled back and forth until one won it. To this day the new owner is still getting featured in magazines and online articles, and winning almost every show he enters with it. We talk to him often, it's his favorite truck and he has quite a few. He's @garage_of_fords on Instagram
