Hey man, my name is Lucas and I live in Phoenix Arizona. I've been working sales (B2B) for almost 4 years now and looking to get into medical device sales as a career change. There is a lot more to the story which I hope I could potentially share with you at some point as well as pick your brain on a few things but I have a question right off the bat. Before this job, I was studying at a community college in the Chicagoland area but left early just short of my associate's degree in Biology to move to Arizona and work for my family's business which is what I do currently. How likely am I to get into this industry without a 4-year degree? Also, what should my next step look like moving forward? Thank you so much for sharing your experience in this industry, I really enjoy watching your videos.
I’ve seen multiple people break in without a 4 year degree ! It’s harder with bigger companies such as Medtronic or Stryker. Message me on LinkedIn !
Helo sir, I work as a clinical specialist for Abbott vascular in india through third party? This is my first job as well. What are the qualification needed as a medical device sales representative in the USA?
Usually a bachelors degree, however sometimes does not matter. Most companies will look for sales experience of at least 2 years. However, it is not impossible to get a job without experience.

Great programs ! Can be costly however. I think you can still get a medical device job without them. However, they can speed up the process and prepare you very well.

Is it really all about just pitching a sale all day or do you just need 1 sale a week or does the company help get sales for you. No one has really explained that part
It is all company specific and product specific. Some companies want more sales and some less! Usually the product depending on how good it is will increase sales. But, most of the time it my experience, the rep gets the product in the door !

The best med reps eventually become personal/almost family friends with their docs. Sometimes it’s luck, sometimes it takes unreal persistence (up to a decade) while being very likable. All situational.
This is very true. Every situation is different. That’s why longstanding competitors are very hard to take down. But, the persistence can make amazing things happen.
