I’m 60 and have done plenty of drywall on the side, doing more carpentry. Never did tape on an outside corner, but I can see that it’s a good idea.

Over the year I have seen cracks on corner beads I started to lay tape to prevent future cracks it’s nice to see that I wasn’t crazy because I get a lot of slack from other finishers.

Might as well just paint the whole wall with spackle 😂😂😂

My father does this almost daily, he took me to work one time when his company was hired to tear down, re drywall, and mud/wallpaper new AC units in a good amount of hotel rooms. He let me try it while he was in the adjacent room and while I did do a decent job it was much more difficult than I had thought. Kudos to these men working hard everyday 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Watching these masterful drywall,applications is why i got mad at the hackjob my landlord hired to patch a bunch of cracks. He didnt m even TRY to apply a smooth coat. Just slapped mountains of compound and came the next day to sand it all badly. 😭

I absolutely love how you chamfered the edges. I started doing this a few years back and have always had good luck since. No cracks no call backs!
