LS Crank Pulley Removal Hack
Here is a video that explains how to remove a LS Crank Pulley without the actual LS pulley removal tool. You still need a pulley removal too but, not the actual LS one (which none of the auto part stores carry in stock).

Tubing Trip on Coldwater Creek
Просмотров 2572 года назад
This was the last tubing trip, that several friends and I do, of the year in Milton, Florida (near Pensacola). We normally go 8-12 times a year. The river was up 3 feet from its normal levels. This is basically the trip that Bob's Canoes and tubes offers for pay. We do it for free, staging vehicles. This is the music from the video, used for free withe Creative Commons license. This is a short video of a tool that has saved my butt several times. If you own a car with those little plastic push pins, then this tool is something that you need. My son wanted to do the video. Thanks for watching Here is the link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074P7NZX3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Why my daughter is better than your daughter

My daughter Alyssa surprised me with tickets to the Kansas City Chiefs versus the Atlanta Falcons preseason week 2 game. I am from Kansas City but, have spent most of my life in Pensacola, Florida. I never get to see live Kansas City games live. This was our trip! I hope you enjoy. great advice !!!!!
Great video! Thanks
Great advice Mike
I use a pushrod ($4) from o reilly. Melling part #MPR653 7.8 inches long
ruclips.net/user/shortsTdUet19Mk3g my way to pull it out
just an FYI, I had to pull mine today. I rented the Chrysler puller from O'Reilly's. The kit (a black plastic case) had 4 different rods in it, one was a tad over 7". It worked perfectly. I was surprised to learn after removing mine I noticed it was not keyed to any timing mark(s). It's an 07 Silverado 5.3L Z71 4x4. Does anyone know what's up with that? It doesn't matter what position it's in when reinstalling it back on the engine? That blew my mind. Cheers from Louisiana.
The timing chain is what keeps the engine in time. So if you turn the crank pulley, both the crank and cam are turning
That rod looks bigger than 5/16
Horrible vid...cant see you doing anything
Thank you explaining this in detail,I didn't want to buy a puller that I would probably only use 1 or 2x.
I'm happy to help.
Nice to know this can be done. The service manual instructs that the steering rack must be removed, and a Honda dealer charges over a grand to do this while they probably just do it your way and profit immensely.
Took your advice and worked great!
did you have to remove the washer clip prior to taking off the inner tie rod?
No. That comes off after the tire rod is removed.
@@miketavenermedia7853 Did you reuse the washer clip? The part I ordered comes with a new washer, I am guessing thats the new clip? Thank you for making this video, found out that both of my inner tie rods are bad. Also, how tight did you make the new inner tie rod? I can not find any torque specs
@@rocs209 I did not reuse it. You have to bend that washer over to help keep everything clamped together. I didn't want to risk anything coming apart. So I ordered a new one. I'm glad it helps.
@@rocs209 also, I tightened as much as I could. We used a small handled adjustable wrench. As that's all I could fit in there. I tightened it as much as I could from the weird angle I was at. So I have no clue how many pounds it was. I was at a weird angle
Ehhh good enough video for me
Pushrods work too.
About to try that push rod thing wish me luck
Brother how the hell was this video helpful in any way you didn't tell me anything
good video but the music is annoying and a distraction, there's a guy who works on Honda ruckus's (i have one) who's deaf, no music, just him talking and repairing and he's easier to watch than this. just a little friendly advice, the music doesn't help, deep six it
Thank you! This was very helpful.
waste of time
Did you use an adjustable or crows foot?
I used the adjustable because I couldn't find a crows foot. I did order the crows feet for next time though.
Did you use ATF Or PB to help loosen the inner rod?
I had to use PB. I rarely use ATF for anything because it is so much more expeensive.
Good Work. do You remember me? Let's build each other up x3
