We ended up having to redo it. Took out the provided gasket and using silicone. Make sure you put silicone on all the bolts just to be safe. There is one or two that go into the trans.

We also wrapped the exhaust that runs behind it.

@@papascustomcars I’m sorry to hear that Did you torque them to spec ? I think 15lbs about a quarter turn past tight if you don’t have a torque wrench I did put gasket sealant on every bolt I noticed when I took the old ones out that every one of them had sealant residue on them You got me worried now I hope mine doesn’t leak I used the provided gasket from Duralast I did lay it flat and put some weight on it to get it as flat as possible I also put gasket sealant on around the holes I ran it for about 1/2 and hour No drips No runs

@anguslean4058 this one held for more than a week and then cut loose. Was nice having the drain plug in the new pan, needed a full flush anyways. Removed the gasket and just used a good silicone sealer. So far so good. The leak was in the back and I really think the heat from the exhaust caused it. Been more than a month now so…

Oh and yes torqued to spec.

No, this is the second break on this line this year. It is old, just finds the next weak spot. This has probably been a small leak for a while. Today was it's day.

Not sure since it comes with a 3 year and I am not there. I know my older one doesn’t. You can contact them direct to verify. I am curious why you wouldn’t want to maintain updates? The updates have the latest changes and added years that occur at the manufacturer level of the vehicles.

@@papascustomcars I'm usually working on older vehicles 96 and on and I know I'll never own something new so I just want to know that it'll continue to work for me after 3 years and not become a paperweight. I can't afford to just throw away 4-$500 or just pay for updates to newer vehicles I'll never work on.

vdiagtool2@outlook.com can answer that question. When I use it, there are usually updates, and because I am working on something, I just ignore it, and it works. They can let you know.

According to the website you can use the 12+8 bypass cable (naturally sold separately). I don't have one, nor have had the need for one so I cannot test it with mine. I did plug it into my 2012 Jeep and it reads and does everything fine. Yes but remember you need to reinforce because of the weight.

If you went across the side add a brace in the center because the weight would bow the rod a bit.
