Edgar Meyer released this song on his latest album with Bela Fleck, Zakir Hussain, and Rakesh Chaurasia! ruclips.net/video/se2Vf6CTEPI/видео.html&ab_channel=B%C3%A9laFleck-Topic
I remember exactly where I was when I first heard this …… what a song Two virtuoso’s completely set free by such an incredible melody and do deliver sheer emotion to top it off “ make em feel what u feel inside “ They def did that. Thanks fellas !!
I just saw Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer, and Mike Marshall yesterday at Rockygrass 2022 and it was the most incredible experience. Has me in tears. I hope I have this memory forever.
I was at this show in 2002 and I'll never forget it. There was a "bigger" name playing on the main stage but my buddies and I wanted to see Bela and Edgar. I enjoyed the hell out of their jams and classical renditions while relaxing in the grass near the back of the crowd watching some boho girls dance with hula hoops. This was all happening in Tennessee in late June so the Sun was giving us a beating all weekend, but right in the middle of one of Bela and Edgar's jams this little, dark cloud decided to rain on us for a few minutes and provide us with a beautiful moment of respite from the Summer heat. Bela and Edgar commented on it and the crowd, of course, gave those two gents all the credit for bringing the rain.
Total bias against a "banjo"? Thanks to the absurd stereo types from Hee Haw and the movie, Deliverance. They did more to destroy the appeal of the instrument than anything else. I used to be a very serious banjo player but couldn't take anymore of the idiotic, ignortant remarks about the instrument.
@@MrSacman88 I am sure you are right, although I don't know the Delivereance movie. Gerry O'connor would doubtless get the same reaction from the same people. I think the banjo is greatly underrated, along with the skill required to play it well (one I don't have sadly).
Please... Is the tune recorded on a cd? I tried to find it.. I love this video and the music, it is one of my favorite videos ever since 2009... Beautiful musicians and amazing music. I want this music for my funeral! :)
It's on the Bonnaroo 2002 compilation DVD (full of awesome, diverse performances from back before Bonnaroo was overly commercialized, but I digress) which is long out of print, but if you search hard enough on the internet I'm sure you can find a copy somewhere.
Mind blowingly good!! I hadn't realized how amazing Edgar Meyer was on the bass! As for the 10 people that disliked this; in the words of the late great Walter Matthau: " why don't you do the whole world a favor, and pull your lip over your head and shwallow!!
Is there a full set video or just this song, definitely need more of this duo
Love me some either or both Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer...any time of day, any week any month of any year
What person on this green earth would dislike a video like this of possibly the two most greatest banjo and double bass players on the planet.
Damn wait is this the same song they just released on the as we speak Album?? Crazy to hear such an earlier version!
Incredible musicians! and Bela's shirt is way cool!
SICK
I love the constant G drone,

Absolute craziness with these two playing off each other.
The 14 people that dislike this are probably beyonce fans
