Love is mentioned as important ingredient. However, "love" isn't defined. In my case, it seems my family thought they were loving but really my parents spent almost all their time working, and when there was time spent, we might eat together, but we didn't really communicate. They would give me money and I think that was seen as "love." I wasn't given any guidance or taught anything at all, but I don't think they realized that. Because not taught and no guidance, I had "mental problems", and I was expected to "change" as if there was something "wrong" with me. I think that's the opposite of "love" when people treat you like you need to "change" and that you're not acceptable the way you are. Yet my family fed me and provided roof over my head for a very long time and I we shared the same blood, so I think they mistakenly believed that that meant they "loved" me, yet they really didn't even "see" me.
