Brett’s Astra was back with us for setting up and mapping following some more upgrades. These consisted of a G30 770 Turbo and programable methanol Injection ready for this year’s Race Wars. After numerous runs adjusting both the ERL meth and engine ECU’s we settled at 606 Bhp and 485 lbs-ft of torque. At Race Wars Brett achieved 184 MPH from standstill at the 1mile marker, flying the flag well for Vauxhall against allot German opposition with many more cylinders!

Why this one makes 360, meanwhile last one made 390 with similar mods? Becouse fuel pump?
That thing would eat most things alive. I miss my old Corsa B, had a 1.6 sport super chipped. Little thing sounded like a beefed up scooby after induction kit install, then threw on a Scorpion Full System. Good old days. I'll keep you in mind actually, had my Arctic VXR for 6 years, totally standard, mint. But debating whether I wanna do a few things to it. I'm not on any social media but will bookmark your website 👍 To be honest, all i want is a Remus turbo back system for it, but cant get hold of a new one now i don't think. Maybe a Milltec, don't want it too loud. And love the sound of the flutter the recirv valves give off. Thats pretty much all i want done to mine
Does that mean mot failure with gpf delete?
No it doesn’t, got GPF delete and flexi , passed MOT two days ago.

With tubing it‘s plug n play BUT be careful i don‘t know if the power output is alot higher you might need some more parts for your car to handle the new Snail

Probably you have to upgrade the clutch for that huge torque. The DCT transmission max. torque specification is 480Nm / 360ft-lbs only, so you can do this only with manual car.
they should've implemented the mpi/gdi system from the 2.5 in these... carbon build up is a worry for me with these

You’ll be lucky to get that car moving off the line without spinning in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
The sonata nline has more capabilities then the i30 yet no one is making performance parts for it
I’d say more potential but not necessarily more capabilities. With a better turbo and tune the 2.5 would definitely be a beast tho. The sonata doesn’t have an lsd so traction would be worse. Suspension also would need to be changed and tuned differently.

Wow thats impressive! You think the Motor is reliable with this kind of power?
VN engine fails catastrophically around 450wtq, so if it's around there, it's not new internals, it's a new block.
Keep the torque around 400 and horsepower can go up to around 470 and still be reliable.
Really looking forward to having it back...definitely going to have to remember the extra power 😅

I am Looking at getting Stage 1 re map at some point. Is there any other mods that would be required to handle the extra 30-40 hp.
I had mine mapped to stage 1 and it took it to 300hp. Bar the map mine is completely standard and runs great.

Brilliant looking Zafira… becoming rare on the streets near me, seen a few Astra VXR’s about but no Zafira’s, definitely no modified ones like this.

Hello Stephen, yes the only way to pass an MOT is with a cat however we have in development a front pipe with a sports cat that will give the increase in power and will be Mot compliant, watch this space..

What will happen to a stock car (no remap) if i change the flexi pipe? Would i get more horsepower? And will it turn on check engine?
I now have the GPF delete and the Flexi Pipe both from RPM Performance and no check engine light. Very nice sound and HP gains in high rpm without any remap.
