The only radio that comes close to the 9000 is the 5000 icom doesn't come even close. Digital computer software radio like the icom doesn't come even close to analog warm sounds these yeasu radios made .

Icom 7800 is good radio. The RX is better in crowded band conditions with the 9000d (built-in mechanical preselectors). I don't know about the 7851 since I can't justify spending that kind of money on a radio yet. The K4D I just bought has excellent receiver too. I still love the 9000D. Breaks though with the 200-watts most days.

Yeah well it's people like this asshole that made my life a living hell repeatedly jamming in my neighborhood stalking me and deliberately using my callsign without me even knowing until it was too late I didn't even know who this person was and the person was never caught yet I had to take the fall for everything including losing two licenses amateur radio and GMRS they were very valuable to me and because I'm no longer on the air I sold all of my equipment I'm totally done with everything can't even enjoy a nice hobby without somebody fucking it up‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
