Pile 2 - I AM a teacher. I teaxh at a private school and they are not paying me enough. I'm struggling in that way, but also the environemnt is a little bit isolating. We don't have many students, and I end up spending a lot of time just researching, which is fine, but I don't really get the feedback I need from admin, and coworker intera tions have been kind of...meh. I am a good teacher considering I do not have much experience or training and I teach 4 subjects. I do not want to get into public education even though it pays more because I see the conditions there as untenable and getting worse, so I have to figure something else out. In short - I adore my students, but financially, this job is unsutainable.

Pile 3 is hard to hear when the reason for you not going up the ranks is because you don't associate with the gossiping nancies and because you are straightforward. Like what should I do now? Be more accepting of the gossip? Sit in toxicity whilst the rest taught to become like how I am? Maybe I am reacting harshly but I dunno.
