It feels like dumb luck that I had a GameCube with this game growing up. Everyone who talks about this game with such adoration seems to show gameplay from the GameCube version I remember years back, wanting to play this game again and attempting to settle for the wii version to get to play. I couldn't get past the wagon attack part because the motion controls were so bad

Twilight is such an underrated gem, definitely my favorite Zelda game of all time. So far, nothing has topped it for me.

I'm honestly so glad more and more people start talking about twilight princess and what a masterpiece it was. This game brought me to tears so many times and the musical atmosphere still stays in my mind to this day. I'm debating if I should buy a Wii just to play this game again now that I'm grown up.

I just love the Smouldering Lake in DS3. DS3 is all about the defilement of the world of Dark Souls, a world that is killing itself, a tired world barely hanging. If you played DS1 and remember the beautiful and somber, almost divine ambience of Ash Lake, DS3's lake hits so hard, it just clicks that the very core of the world is in flames, it's foundations burning away with the first flame and humanity's dependence on it. People will say DS3 is derivative or uninspired, but as a direct sequel to DS1, DS3's references and callbacks shine so much with its end of the world, Majora's Mask sort of vibe

idk man, it's hard to tell what's intentional and what's just asset reuse due to lack of creativity or something. I don't think you can make a 1 to 1 connection that the trees in DS2 are the exact same as the scene in DS1. We might be doing an Evangelion here (like the christian imagery looks neat but has no meaning). He might have repurposed the tree=world idea because norse mythology is one of those free idea buckets. Bioshock Infinite did the same with it's lighthouses.

theres subtle hints all the games have some sort of connection to eachother, and the archtrees support this. Even as back as Demons Souls the outside portion of the Nexus is reminiscent of Ash Lake, with the Great One found there being tree like. Though Bloodborne has more of these references specifically to Demons. Then theres the Sun Realm Shield in Elden Ring which straight up just seems to be a reference to Anor Londo.
