I think the safest strategy is to diversify investments. Like spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value. I would be happy if you could advise me based on how you went about yours, as I am ready to go the passive income path.!!

Straight up, investing with the help of a financial advisor set me up for life with about $1.6m in stock portfolio roi. I max out my 401k and have few properties. I worked hard everyday as a teacher for 32 years, and my salary was over 100k annually. But if it wasn't for 2020 covid lockdown, I wouldn't have supplemented my income with stocks and alternative investments.

Agreed, instead of following rumors or a hearsay, I adopted the service of an advisor early 2020 amid covid-outbreak, and after subsequent investments to date, I've attained my most significant financial milestone, just about 10% shy of $2m.

It would take 3 million right now, but it would be significantly less than 3 million required if you built it up over time, like over 10+ years in quality dividend stocks. An outlandish example would be Buffet yielding more than 50% on coca cola. You can get a really high yield on cost if you have time on your side

Absolutely, investing consistently in S&P 500 ETFs is a great place to start with. However, in the longer run it's better to check out sector specific ETFs that are of your interest.
