Question sir, Did you mean Nausadar Katli powder also know as - Ammonium Chloride? Are you adding it to your metal under a flame or just dipping it at the end? The powder "Ammonium Chloride" Is not really for bring up the gold color as much as to help to remove some of the baser slag metals. The reaction is simply that the chlorides of these baser metals are insoluable in the melt, and slag off, so available chlorine at the surface of the melt reacts with those baser metals, causing their removal from the metal mass, but only if you add it while the metal is molten. And yes, it forms lots of fumes, including chlorine gas… Do it only with excellent ventilation.
