That tribute album is what got me into the Sonics in the first place, great stuff!

I have only listened those Cramps cover versions... I need to check if I could find some comp of the Sonics.

Nice. I have an album, 'Savage Young Sonics', live 1961 in Tacoma on Norton Records. It has the the 'House Party" stuff and more from that time. Great video. Cheers.

those Sonics are awesome records, check out a label called Moxie records, they did alot of those "60's punk" compilations in the late 70's early 80's, no idea who did it first but theres some great stuff on that label, cheers!

I’m in total agreement with you. Gotta say that prior to the internet world Sonics were definitely the band that many punk rock fans did accept as godfathers and stating that he’s waiting, strychnine, psycho, etc were the first punk songs was quite common. Love them Cheers

Absolutely fantastic band - I got a compilation of theirs in the 1980s when I was getting into stuff such as Pebbles and Back From the Grave, and was blown away by them. Talking of the first punks though, I would maybe suggest The Monks, not so much power and energy, but certainly their attitude as to complete lack of commerciality with regard to lyrics and tunes! Black Monk Time is a fantastic album.

Great band. Awesome songs. Saw them in 2012 when came out to Australia for the Dig It Up Festival in 2012. Was amazing seeing them live.

Shock recorded their single at media art. We recorded kill the hippies at the same studio on the same day recording after them.

I watched Michael Pilmer’s house tour. It is pretty amazing but I with you, I don’t want records in every room. I need the Slaughter and the Dogs album. The 7” is right behind you. I’ve never seen that Shock album. Club 88 was a sweat box. When my Social Security check comes in I’m getting Kill The Bee Gees. Legal Weapon are an LA band. Steve Soto and Frank Agnew from the Adolescents are on Death Of Innocence.

I need to find some Girl Trouble vinyl you've shown them before & it sounds like something I would really like but never see them in the wild in my area. Attic Records was a Canadian independent label that put out a lot of great Canadian artists besides Teenage Head....Lee Aaron, Goddo, Downchild Blues Band, Anvil, Killer Dwarves, Razor, Triumph,etc. Cheers hope we see you back again on a regular basis.

I use to have an OG of that Wall of Voodoo but at the time didn’t think much of it. I bought the reissue and loved it, 40 years late it clicked lol. Great 101 album and fun to hear what the preclash sounded like. Nice batch of records. Covid wife, wow, that does suck

The lead singer of Yellow Dog - Kenny Young - co-wrote Under The Boardwalk and Captain Of Your Ship. He had quite the career. Some copies of Wait Until Midnight are yellow, as well as some black (I think). You _might_ like the next single, Little Gods, which came on luminous vinyl, as well as black.

My old neighbour Ian is in SLF. First saw them in 78. Glad you enjoyed it. One of my all time favourite bands.
