😵💫😵💫😵💫 wow that’s why you always gotta check
NO you cannot take them out. The spacers provide a brace point against Euler Buckling of the columns. If you remove them, it decreases the amount of vertical load that can be safely handled by up to 75%. So, in a way, they are structural.
Blocking is for load transfer and racking...are you licensed?
The first one he showed isn't used for truss blocking. It is a spacer that is unnecessary once the roof sheething is put on. They are usually higher up tho. The other ones he showed are necessary.
LoL
The house collapsed 3 days after this video was taken.
My stucco contractor said that the nails pop out because the flashing was not properly installed and water is getting through the stucco into the stud. Moisture issue and incorrect installation of stucco.
The conduit is clearly holding up that side. Quit being so dramatic
Finally someone with a brain 👍🏻
It's a good thing the decking boards are there to hold up those joists. 👌
Wow! 🤦♂️
k so what?
Should voice over this cause I can't hear shit you are saying and if I turn it up the dog makes my dog's bark just saying wouldn't be to difficult to do and you might have more then 2 likes if ya did just saying
How about windows that open? Can they still be installed upside-down? I would think they would catch themselves putting it in wrong.
Sliders could easily be installed upside down. But still wrong. The rollers are on the bottom track. I would suspect if a single hung window was installed upside down. It would be noticeable.
@@insideouthomeinspection Thanks.
I mean… it’s not all that bad… just lock the box or zip tie it at least. Not a huge deal.
Yet ALL of the other boxes out there that do have something hooked up to them is not a threat because there isn't an abandoned pipe going to them. Logic
He is talking about the fact that is a A/C disconnect box. It should have a cover plate on the front and the disconnect flipped. Someone thought that conduit was the supply when it's actually the conduit that runs out to the condenser/compressor unit from this disconnect.
If there is no dead front on said boxes with wires = hazard
Must be the 90s If ur biggest concern is some kid playing with an electric box. Must be a nice neighborhood! But srsly.. just put a dollar general lock on it
That’s 220v! But yes, kids are probably just watch their phone inside the house.
@@insideouthomeinspection 220 is often safer to touch than 120 bc it repels you.
@@insideouthomeinspection 110 is harder to 'let go of' than 220.
Someone wants to put their Curious fingers in there then they'll learn not to do that again it's called survival of the fittest
Put a 🔒 on it
And those jits will learn not to do that again. Life is all about learning from your mistakes.
Thank you from what I’m researching even with the proper copular the two types of pipes should NOT be used in conjunction with one another. So joining galvanized to copper is going to cause corrosion regardless of putting the wrong pipe on that wrong side. These dissimilar water supply lines these as they put it is especially not good it’s because they don’t get along at the molecular level. These two materials basically fight each other so they will form corrosion and rust. which will be best if you have to put these together to use dialectic fittings to help get around these dissimilar metal type issues. And then replace sections of the galvanized corroded sections. I saw this explanation on a shorts video done by Helpful Home Inspector channel.
If you simply bend the tabs in with a flat screwdriver on the side of the frame you can get them to hold the filter in place even when the AC is off.
That's not a leaking shower pan that's an active exterior drain😂😂😂
If the shower pan was done properly, it wouldn't matter if you were missing the bottom row of tile, it wouldn't leak
Exactly. No tile, no grout, no worries. A proper pan should hold water & those weep holes need to be popped too... 😉
I think it would at least fill it in with caulking
Some service technician like myself is going to be carefully grinding that to where the round over on the corner bead starts and wet polishing that bad boy to perfection! 💪🔥🤑🙌💯
Absolutely not, but sadly I’m beginning to suspect it. 😮
Lmao
ps ar55
If you own the house you should be able to do whatever the hell you want with it.
Until you go to sell and all your hell with it is unsafe.
Beautiful 😍 and as a prior weatherization worker you are correct, on any household
It looks like they gain access from the attic space. Often when new construction has been built, doors are left wide open along with attic spaces for the bugs to get into the house. In this particular house, the insulation was on the underside of the roof deck. And all the, candlelighting were exposed, allowing little critters to move to the light💡🪳
i've always wondered how they get in there
Oh. Hell. No. 😂 Wow. How? Just...how?
You could literally find something wrong in every single house. That being said, I wish there was a way that I could skip these videos more often thanks.
Look around the side wall might . The shut off valve has to be before the flex line anyway.
It’s back there you just can’t reach it
😂. Crazy Installation !!!! 😆.
Don't get a roof leak....
I belive 1.5" of closedcell spf is an effective water barrier. The attic is required to be semi-conditioned to ensure airflow (generally a diffuser in the attic or similar)... i believe the closed cell also acts essentially like a glue and helps with uplift (has a recognized classification as such) at least that's my experience and what I've read recently (architect in louisiana)
Mold and rot, probably water running into the walls. Did that space have adequate ventilation to the outside? I'd bet that stuff could cause serious moisture build-up if not properly able to vent/let the space breathe.
And roof can't vent. They didn't have a clue what they were doing. Ceiling joists is where it goes. Lol
Seeing so many brand new constructions with extensive damage makes me a little happier to know I'll never be able to afford a home
Well hopefully they're not putting crappy shingles on the roof I won't put shingles on my roof I don't care what kind they are they don't last
You want to have airflow on the backside of the roof sheathing. The roof shingles will get way too hot. The roof won’t last very long done this way.
Answer to his question: wet spot on ceiling and puddle on the floor😅
But maybe not! That expanded Foam is going to be somewhat water resistant, causing the moisture to be trapped or to flow down to the ends of the walls which then could allow the moisture to migrate into the walls as well.
@@insideouthomeinspectionOh well then that's totally fine 🤣
I assume it'd be identical to an asphaltic and modified built up roof system. What happens when you've got multiple layers of molten? Asphaltic fiberglass reinforcement impregnated membranes with water that gets encapsulated between it. Just makes a blister or finds his way in. Literally just as simple as that
I’m at a project right now in delray multi million dollar 3 unit on the beach and the entire third floor ceiling is covered in this. Except it’s not hard like expansion form, it’s actually very fragile 🤔
