Drone footage of the 2nd Minden floods of 2022. By Ken Killeen of Terran Sky. Qld. Australia.
DRONE LAUNCH DETECTED...
*Having a peak of my new, uh, canal, I mean, driveway. Lol!
FRIDAY 13TH flood water at my home in Minden.
I'm trapped again so sent a drone out for recon during a brief pause in the miserable weather.
I was planning on checking out the bridge at the school when the rain suddenly returned, so had to make a speedy exit (forgive the lack of coherent cinematics toward the end).
I had to dry my baby off :).
May attempt again tomorrow... (?) Weather permitting of course.
Stay tuned.

So, despite weeks of research and part hunting, I finally found all 4 new oxygen sensors for my jeep. It has been advised that many after market sensors provide poor readings or longevity with Wranglers, having different start up times etc. NPK parts ate recommended, and due to the numerous models and variants of wranglers and even there sensors, I was satisfied to find them. Sadly, as Jeeps ar...

Simple Pleasures - how to exercise a Border Collie creatively :)
I knew i wasn't crazy when my overripe bananas sweat oil in the freezer. 😅
Good vid. But why the annoying music?
Good work mate! But, how did you unplug the O2 2/2 sensor plug? I haven’t been able due the narow space where it is located the connector.
A real pleasure to have watched this video, so pretty and well put together. This nature the human being must take care of it every day and protect it
💪🏻👍🏻⚡☢☑
So Cute... and out of proportion as chicks :D !! I have 2 pair that reside on our property here just outside of Esk, I love spotting them. Great work mate 👍🏻👍🏻🦉🦉
Well done , nice to see some other local content :D 👍🏻
can i get the minerals needed for an antimicrobial spray using this extraction method?
Is the Diggers Shellite nessasarry? What other solvents can I use instead? I live in the U.S and can't obtain that here.
No it's an extra purity step I do. You can just extract into the ethanol but it will have more mixed components in it. That's all. You can use other organic solvents too. Shellite is just cheap and accessible, is very volatile, and doesn't leave residues.
So beautiful, thankyou so much
My pleasure 😊
Thanks man this is great guidance for my weekend project
Ilove you
Mwhauuuaahaha I love it
Don't use flammable stuff on exhaust. Water with a little dish soap is a better idea here and then anti-seize when you put them back in.
Can you teach us how to ?
Killing it!!! 🤘🤘🤘
My battery PCM and Fuse/Relay Box are on the other side. So much easier to get in there.
das really nice
I really like your starter button. I had a 93 that I had to put one on
A mini Rotary Drum Filter!! So cute!!
Do you have a link or information to that socket you used?
It's just and 02 censor socket. You can get one at any hardware/AutoZone like store
Hi! I am zookeeper Lucy KIM in korea. Please understand that i am not good English. I am taking care of baby Scarlet Ibis. This baby was born a one month ago. But i don't know how to care of baby. especially, how much do the baby eat a day and amount of food the baby need. how much do i give to baby at once? Thank u for reading!!!;>
They eat a LOT! Fill its crop up sever times a day at least. They start to self feed pretty early, which is handy, but will continue to feed off formula well into adulthood if you don't stop at some point. It's important to slowly ween them off fluids onto solids as they grow. If he's a month old you must be doing OK. :) good luck
...Pretty!! I don’t believe I saw the infamous tower though!! Hajajaja! V

Here's two links to them on Facebook. I thought they were here too sorry. Add me there and I can send u the powerbox fried shots ;) I also checked it today... I have no meter installed. This is insane. Like no meters!
If u look ontop of the big green hill it's there ^ Im the only house on the property. The second white structure is a shed. :)
I also have one that fell . What should I feed it(I come from humble background so I cant afford canned worms)
They are primarily insectivorous. So any insects you can get may help. They are omnivores though and will supplement their diets with anything they can find. So you often see them in bins eating scraps of everything. This isn't a good diet for a growing chick long term, but it shows that you can feed it things like bread or meats or vegetables etc. They will need protein supplemented if this is the case. Protein powders can help there. I buy a formula made for insectivorous birds. It's basically crushed bugs and nutrients that you sprinkle on food or make into a slurry. Try small pieces of meat etc. Size accordingly to chicks size. How big is it? On a dripper?.. or eating on his own yet?
@@ProfessorKenny his not been able to eat on his own. The same size as the one of the video.
He's going to need something... try a little porridge. If u dint have a syringe or dripper, you can bend a teaspoon etc. But he's gonna need an increase in protein soon. Most birds can't tolerate lactate so don't use milk. Only water with the porridge. Try an find something like mince meat at try get him to eat tiny bits at a time. Eventually he will chug it down off a plate. For now he needs u to feed him every few hours at least. And provide constant warmth
@@ProfessorKenny ok .Will do so
Hello, i want to produce it in large scale for the cosmetic industries, what kind of extraction machine i have to use?
What do you think you would get if you were to make like 5 or 10grams of the stuff and distill it? Would you get some esters you could use in cologne or perfume? Could you Isolate the core aroma compounds this way? That's where my research is going right now even though this method may not be the most practical I just want to know your opinion. I'm not concerned with efficiency quite yet (just coming up with experiment ideas in my head).
Sure, but probably just cheaper to use synthetic analogues. Nonetheless, if you get to that clean crude point in my video them it's just one extra step. Classically Methylation by heating the oils with methanol under strongly alkaline environments, or ethylation using ethanol and the same process. This adds 2 carbons instead of one so is of little consequence. In fact it's safer to work with due to the relative toxicity of methanol. This is called FAME, fatty acid methyl esterfication...(or for ethanol, FAEE, fatty acid ethanol esterfication). A layer of free fatty acids is liberated which is a direct fuel (diesel equivalent) or concentrated target oils like pigments, aromatics as terpenes, or omega 3s etc. These can be purified depending on the oils stability and size amongst other methods. Each chain differs in length so differs slightly in its boiling point. They can be separated under special distillation conditions (like when short-path distillation apparatus). They also elite from columns at different rates for similar reasons. Being free fatty acids, they are prone to oxidation. It is prudent to collect and store cold under low oxygen (or even nitrogen or co2 streams). Buffers can help preserve sensitive targets too. I have also achieved esterfication using strong acids instead of alkaline with success. As long as we are at more extreme pHs the reaction will cleave the fatty acid chains from their glycerol backbones (ie- TAGs, DAGs, MAGs). Hope that helps.
@@ProfessorKenny Thanks for the response! I figured it would always be cheaper to use artificial counterparts. I just want to see if its even possible to and to learn first hand why its hard to produce natural flavor without some kind of biological method with yeast.
Not too hard. Just a little messy and time consuming, but very possible. Give it a crack. I'm here if u get stuck at any point ;)
This is a really nice project!👍
What do you feed him
Insectivore formula and lean mince work well. 😊
That much oil from how many bananas?
It's not much at all man.... it really isn't; but it all came from only one skin! ;)
Beautiful!
Thanks :)
Nice. Some good ideas for my own channel. Thank you. Subscribed.
Subbing back :)
Amazing footage👍Liked & Subscribed :-)
Thanks so much :) Hundreds of vids on science and nature... go crazy ;)
No one likes ibis where i live they call them bin chickens they are stinky but they are so cute and funny I’ve never seen a small baby ibis they are so adorable I love the clumsiness Thanks for the video
They share the same bad rep here. They are pretty amazing if you observe them over their life-cycle. The growth of that beak, the development of metallic sheens on feathers, that crazy neck and huge wings! Although I will admit they emit a gross smell, *I think it is an oil that makes them less palatable (?). This little guy STILL visits the property, but keeps pretty far from me. Most of my releases forget me, well, that is if I did my job right. Can't have them too domestic or they will have lower survival rates out there. Toward the end they need to be weaned off people. Despite how imprinted they seem to be, it isn't difficult for them to revert back to a wilder state. Seamus was special, I will never forget him. :)
@@ProfessorKenny thank you for the replay Wow that’s so interesting thanks for that bit of info that’s awesome what you do 😇 I always wanted to know why they smell that dose make sense
Yup, it sucks - we love them.
How old do they start eating solid food??????
They will keep eating milk if its an option. So start exposing them to solids when they are young. By a few months old they should be weaning more and more off milk. I find those baby fruit and vege puree packs are really convenient and a simple transition. Especially toward the end, make sure they are only getting native foods, to aid their chances of survival. As much as bananas and things are tasty and nutritious, they simply aren't available out there in the wild. A fussy possum may eat less and have lower chances once released. Fortunately, they aren't fussy by nature. Born survivors, with a little help when they're young... just like us. :)
@@ProfessorKenny thank you they're about 5 in with tail but really small I think they're at least one month
Keep feeding them milk formulas for a while. But you may notice they at least nibble or taste solid foods if you present them. Try a slice of banana or something soft. Use it supplementary until further weaned. Is it a ring tail or brush tail?
Made with a sonic transducer, a soda bottle, some hose, and a usb battery ;)
Hi, I was wondering what can be done with this oil? Is it edible? Or usefull for aroma?
Curiosity. I used these methods on algae. I was simply testing how universal it could be :)
@@ProfessorKenny sounds good. Do you think it is possible to extract te protein and starch from the skin?
Definitely .. I just completed an algae Protein Extraction. Check out Terran Sky on Facebook ;)
those mangroves where are they?
Not mangroves. Mostly just She-oaks (Casuarina). And on Bribie Island, Queensland, Australia.
looks so cool.
Awesome video,Bribie Island is indeed a great spot.Well Done👍
Thanks man. I loved the train vid you shared a little while back too. :)

Thanks, and Welcome aboard to the Terran Sky :)
Hi! Can i ask you, what kind of species banana that you used for this procedure? And how many grams banana peels?
2 peels.. unknown species (a common domestic variety)
Only 2 peels??? How ml that you get?
Mere milligrams or a gew drops of concentrate. Here some is diluted in ethanol as shown in the video
To be honest i'm so stressful because i already extract oil from banana peels using n hexan 1:3 g/v then evaporated by used rotary evaporator and get very little oil...
Well yea... there's not a great deal of oil in it to begin with. What did you expect :) Why do you need a lot of it? What's the purpose of the extraction . Also, hexane will only grab heavier saturated fats, that's y I use ethanol ;) Grabs polar and neutral lipid
can I ask, how many liters of oil could be extracted in 1kg of banana peels?
Very little. If you're lucky maybe a couple grams. Assuming you started with dry substrate
@@ProfessorKenny we are trying to make biofuel using banana peel do you think it is possible?
Of course its possible. Organic life has fatty chains to extract. There are simply higher yielding species that we prefer, like palm oil or for me, microalgae. If its do help repurchase banana skin waste then sure go ahead. If you're setting out specifically to make a fuel from a plant, then there are simply far better options available
@@ProfessorKenny the thing is we are trying to use your method to extract oil from banana peel. Then, after we get the oil using your method we will add methanol and catalyst mixture to make biodiesel. But how many ml do you think we could get from 1 kg of banana peel?
@@ProfessorKenny we saw some videos here on RUclips that used vegetable oil then they add methanol plus catalyst mixture to make the biofuel. So instead of using the vegetable oil could we use the extracted oil to replace the vegetable oil?
Very nice video . Good work. Thanks for sharing Have a nice day my new friend .
Thanks :)

Thanks :) 1st time flying it. Hopefully my next vids are better
