Hive IoT Drone Swarm
We will discuss "Hive" - a proof-of-concept of a cloud-based IoT system intended for the operators of semi-automated first-person view (FPV) drones. The goal was to create an interface for controlling multiple robots remotely and in real-time assigning tasks directly on Google Maps, with video and telemetry available as if it were a strategy video game. Since target users changed their scope in early 2024, Sasha is looking into restructuring the solution and its scope to find a new market niche.

Fluent NAO - A language for robot movement
Просмотров 835 месяцев назад
One reason robots are interesting is because they can take action in the real world. In order to take action they have to be able to move. here we talk about the ways of getting a humanoid robot, in this case NAO, to move. The standard techniques don't integrate well with python code so we look at how FluentNAO provides an easier to understand and more concise way of making NAO move and then ho...
Vector escapes the cloud
Просмотров 291Год назад
Digital Dream Labs servers that support Vector voice command and which allow you to setup a new robot have been dead for weeks. However, that's not a problem - it's possible to connect vector to your own cloud replacement running on your own hardware and entirely open source software. Dave talka about running the Vector robot without needing a connection to the cloud

Stephen Perkins: Reflections on learning to animate NAO
Просмотров 85Год назад
NAO's animation mode is a must-have to make NAO demonstrate realistic movement. If you've ever seen a NAO dancing - that was done using animation mode. In this session, Stephen will share what he has learned so far, offering for group critique some projects and how they have been inspired/attempted. Stephen’s career path led him to become a prof. (corporate governance). For the past few years, ...
Scott Blais on Amazon Astro
Просмотров 70Год назад
Does Amazon Astro have what it takes to become the first common household robot? Scott Blais discusses with other RoboHack members what Amazon Astro can do and what it should be able to do. We cover built-in capabilities and options for programming. Will it be enough for people to want to pay 1600 dollars? Carl Clement - Building web user interfaces for NAO
Просмотров 75Год назад
When you think of robots you might not think of web interfaces. In this talk Carl, will demonstrate why you might want to add a web interface to your robotics application. Carl can point to real world applications where having a combined robot web user interface is useful. He'll demonstrate how to do that on NAO with very little code. Carl has been a NAO developer since 2010 and is the director...

This is part 1 of "Intro to NAO Programming". Dave gives an overview of how choreographe can be used to build applications for NAO. Also covered is a brief intro to the python SDK and how python code can be used from within choreographe applications. great work
Thanks, Dave, for recording this. It's really interesting with loads of potential.
hi friend im glad to see your video actually i did mistake that i have reset Vector before DDL stop i cloud server of Vector. i communicate with them and the answer is make me very happy that Vector will be back again with new server of Microsoft Azure. any way my question is there any solution to make vector works as a normal robot or its difficult to solve it waiting for your answer
I was VERY happy to find these informative videos THANK YOU !!! I ama new owner of a NAO V5 and lookin forward to revive him. I upgarded his battery pack and able to log onto his website… Choreagraphe is running on my M2 MacMini and able to communicate and sequence him a little. I am a noob with Python but I am an IT specialist so coding basics is not an issue. Can animation programs be shared? Or maybe a forum …. Thank you for your time and plz let us know on any future podcast/live RUclips’s.
The company who made Cozmo and Vector went belly up didn't they?
😅
Installed the new sdk, just got one so should see what it can do soon. Maybe one day the arm will mount in the cargo area.
Great work :)
This is the best video on the Internet for this topic! Thanks a million for taking your time every step of the way. 🎉
Hey Guys tis is so helpful. I am the president of the robotics Club for a college in Tampa and we are working with these robots. I would love to possibly talk with you guys sometime if possible!!
I'd be happy to chat. Please email me at info at robohack dot org dot uk
Thanks so much for posting this. The session was really engaging and informative. Super to be able to revisit and for others to view it who weren't able to attend at the time. ImO, it contains a wealth of material that will help everyone from novice to expert to get informed and inspired.
