Saving My Corolla XRS 1st gen
Found this 2006 Toyota Corolla XRS a few months ago and it was too good to be true for the price.
Comes with the Yamaha designed 2ZZ pared with a 6-Speed manual transmission, engine was offered in the Toyota Celica GT-S, Matrix XRS, Corolla XRS, Pontiac Vibe GT, Lotus Elise, Exige, and Exige S. Based off the 1ZZ found in many early 2000 Toyotas running off of VVT-I, while the 2ZZ in certain models has VVTL-I (L=Lift) which makes the engine have “boost” from 6,500-8,000rpm. The boost is actually an air injection pump system secondary to the existing intake. The car has a factory strut brace in the front, and behind the rear seats is a cage style X brace and features rear disc brakes instead...

Ae86 (1987 Corolla sr5 coupe chassis) Still needs a fair bit of work -gts rear end swap -wiper system needs fixed🙃 -defrost -paint -possibly front end frame work -zenki bumper setup -eventually engine swap Can’t wait to finally get it on the road.

It had starting issues with the battery wiring from the previous owner and when I did get it running it would shut off after letting off the gas. The carb needed some tuning and now it’s nice and smooth and keeps idle.

Cleaning my Ae86 interior in depth. Just been sitting since I got it and they never bothered to clean it. And the tint wasn’t the greatest in the back so I took it off but mainly because it says “proud to be porturican” on the back, and it was under the tint.
