Nice video! With 1/8 tires?
Looking to make a wearable ultra-low-light night vision setup, and would prefer camera -> near-eye display directly, rather than going through a raspberry pi module. Any suggestions?
Nice video! Please tires link. Thank you
hello and thank you for this comparison, I can look everywhere I do not find this model (camera SONY IMX291 (CVBS 720P) f1.2 4mm lens), would you have a link or the precise name of this model, is it in usb, and if not, to your knowledge is there a comparable usb model, my lens (see the stars without any sources of light), thank you in advance for your repairs.
Thank you for your efforts
👍
Can you do an updated test, with some fpv cameras like the cat 3 and night eagle 2, and also with smartsens' new cameras? Sony also came out with their second generation so the imx series will probably get a refresh as well
Indicated shutter speeds are wrong, too slow. Frame by frame @30fps every frame is different, it can't be 1/15 etc
thank for this job
Thank you isn't enough for what you did man! ARIGATO
What is maximum record quality of this dvr's? Can it recording true 1280*720p hd? (Sorry for my english)
Very nice comparison in all situations wher i would need this kind of camera.
Freddy Great presentation * I want to build it in the same way. I am a little familiar with the electronic components but not fully familiar with the installation Francisco 347-624-8875 Whatsapp
Did you you used LT 4g wifi for Telemetry? Did you use mission planner ( Ardupilot) What kind of battery did you use for 134 km?
Great presentation
heeey guys.... can i use cat 2 micro camera as an action camera on my head ??? if yes, how? what besides that camera do i need? batteries ..... etc. I want it, because no offered action camera is not able to shoot such good videos at night ...
That was strangely very satisfying to watch :)
How i can buy this camera SONY IMX 291 (CVBS 720P) can you give me link? this is same you use on test? pt.aliexpress.com/item/32885928557.html?src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=494-037-6276&isdl=y&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Gploogle_7_shopping&aff_atform=google&aff_short_key=UneMJZVf&&albagn=888888&albcp=1626568036&albag=65942329430&trgt=743612850874&crea=pt32885928557&netw=u&device=c&albpg=743612850874&albpd=pt32885928557&gclid=CjwKCAjwh472BRAGEiwAvHVfGvUYsNBBAARJar5afE4R8FU2O4C00Wn_TyuLrI6LGcOnZKBwwXL3NRoCClEQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
I saw on the rcgroups thread that you bought a "yx185b" camera from aliexpress that a user called "nightshot" claimed that it is sc1020 sensor. did you try it? I am trying to get sc1020 camera too, and I am thinking about buying this model too from alibaba
This is awesome, thanks for taking the time to do this and then share it
salut c'est possible t'utiliser un 3536 750kv ? avec quel setup ? merci!!!!!!!
you can tell me the distance from front to back to the elevetor how many centimeters it is
DO YOU KNOW IF SC1135 IS GOOD AS THE SC1020?
you should have use the same lens on all the sensors, now you have different aperture lenses.. makes this comparison kinda not worth it
lens are mostly f1.2 aperture, but the extra cost of buying the exact same lens for each camera was more than i could afford for a one shot test...
impressive! very good work dude, this tooks some time for sure to record and edit, awesome!
hello, i am going to buy one of these for astrophotography, someone tells that for very low light, the imx225 is the best, because the snr1 is the lowest ( 0.13 vs 0.17 imx 291) you say that imx225 is grainy, compared to imx291, but i saw in this review that for imx225 you used cvbs output, not ahd. why? it is not available? what do you think of the newest imx327 (upgrade of 291) and imx385 (upgrade of 185) i am grateful to you for this work! thank you! Lodovico
Thanks mate, i red the same regarding the IMX225, but despite beeing super sensitive, the IMX225 has one of the worst picture, grainy, super yellowish, poor managment of contrasts, but the IMX225 is kind of old, and sensitivity is not all... I don't know about the noise-to-sound ratio, or how they tested it, but the result is bad! (i have different kind of IMX225 based boards, they all have the same downsides) anyway, AHD would have improved its defintion, but the quantity of noise and the poor managment of contrasts and color would have stayed the same. I hope i'll be able to test the IMX385 or 327 someday, but now i definitly don't have the time... Thanks for your comment! :)
What wheels are you using on your car
A set of wheels i bought at hobbyking, these are for 1/8 models + hex adapters 1/8 to 1/12. They do not balloon, no more crash due to ballooning, i didn't modify the tires, just balanced them
I realized that in this test you did not use ir filter on the sensor imx291, yes or no?
No IR filter of any kind in all of the tested cameras, except for the Mobius, Nikon and Foxeer XAT520 (built in IR filters)
Motor original ?
CASTLE CREATION 1415 2400KV running on 4S
Freddy Lateub have you tried the original combo in 3s
the stock motor running on 3S was terrible, what a joke! top speed maybe 25km/h... Then, with a good ESC, and this CASTLE 2400KV, i was able to change the gear ratio to go to higher speed without burning either the motor or the ESC, even running on 3S is still pretty impressive!
it is unfair that imx291 was not adjusted the focus properly.
what do you mean? it seems to me that the IMX291 has been focused properly, it's not blurry at all, perfectly focused!
Freddy Lateub how come the video is so ugly than a old 720p camera ? It doesnt look like a 1080p even on daylight footage.
Maybe because of the ultra light portable AHD recorder i'm using, i don't know...? It doesn't seem too bad to me! remember that this is a cheap AHD1 camera that cost less than 15USD, not a high end, high defintion product... At least it gives you an idea of its ultra low light performance, regardless of the definition
Thanks!
What OSD are you using? From the camera or separately?
The OSD is the EAGLE TREE VECTOR really great product!
Freddy Lateub thank you
Was it hard to get CG?
I used the manufacturer specified CG and had not issue like nose or tail heavy plane
Can you tell me about setting up wires and how to do it, I want to make NVG goggles from the SC1020
I think this camera is just impossible to find, you can't imagine the struggle to get one, and it was 1 year ago... You better go for an IMX290!
Freddy Lateub I found a camera better than the sc1020
what ?
@@kijinseija727 What csmera is better?
BigDawg73 imx 307 or imx327

Hi Freddy! Which chipset is used on the camera sc1020? It seems to me to be the best and the brightest.
Yes, SC1020 is my favorite along with the IMX291 in AHD mode, the SC1020 tested in this video has a FH8523 chipset. The SC1020 has the best contrast, color and low light performance, only downside, the slow shutter speed in ultra low light condition (1/4s)
For sc1020 it was necessary to use a lens of 6 mm, then the conditions would be equal.
GREAT JOB!!!
hi! I cannot make a choice what is better. Which one would you advice to buy lens f1.2 4mm M12 from TREEYE or lens f1.2 2.8mm with CS-Mount from TREEYE?
Good you asked! You might find it odd, but i've tested both, on the same board, same day, same place, and despite both beeing "f1.2" the M12 performed a lot better than the CS lens, don't ask me how, since CS lens are bigger you expect them to let more light in, but i'ts not the case when compared side by side, once again, don't ask me how, i don't understand it either, but trust me, the TREEYE M12 f1.2 4mm is brighter than the CS 2.8mm from the same manufacturer!
thanks for the answer. What is your opinion about the lens 2.8mm M12 1/2.5" Image Format Aperture F1.4 6.0 Megapixel from TREEYE? Unfortunately, for my camera housing, only this lens fits me. The TREEYE M12 f1.2 4mm is too long.
Maybe i have this one, but not sure, could you send me a link?
Nope, i have plenty of them, but not this one yet! I won't be able to help you this time!
What is dog breed? I want too
It's a street dog i found lost in the middle of nowhere like 10 years ago, he is a good boi! It's a mixed breed king of dog
Freddy Lateub thanks brother I love display video
3542 will very big.. 3536 will good..
SONY IMX 225 Sensitivity (F5.6) 2350mV. SONY IMX 291 Sensitivity (F5.6) 1300mV. SONY IMX 225 is the best.
SC1020: 8000mV! But then comes the chipset, and its hability to manage exposure. On this test you can see that the IMX225 struggle to manage bright and dark areas, color balance is all yellowish, and it's also super grainy because of its poor Sound To Noise Ratio! Sensitivity is not everything!
What kind of chipset is used with the imx291? nvp2441H, FH8550D or anything else? What's the difference between them?
On this test the IMX291 is equipped with an NVP2441H and the IMX225 an NVP2431, the problem is that every sensor is compatible to a list of specific chipset, i'm pretty sure that NVP2441 and IMX225 are not compatible, otherwise manufacturers would have make them work together. The chipset is like 50% of the camera performance, the most visible advantage are the management of bright and dark areas in the same picture (WDR) or DEFOG (gives you a well balanced picture in extrem conditions, like foggy weather, or ultra low light condition, etc...) Both NVPXXXX or FHXXXX products can be awesome or terrible, depends of the chipset, and don't get fooled by NVP2431 sounds almost like NVP2441 because in term of performance, they don't play in the same league...
for best low light result try Sony IMX 185 but this matrix much expensive approx 3-3.3 times/..
I watched the video well ~! The brightness at night seems to be the best at sc1020. Perhaps? Do you have a car dvr model that uses a sc1020 lens?
Yes, the brightest is the SC1020, because of its really high sensitivity (8000mv) and because of its slow shutter speed (1/4s) The only way to own an SC1020 is to look for surveillance cameras on Aliexpress or even Alibaba, but they are hard to find... Maybe some dashcams are equipped with an SC1020 sensors since Smartsens SCXXXX sensors are mounted in many dashcams, that's a propability.
Hi. Did you manage to fine a dash cam with this sensor?
World best comparison, I like the IMX 291 for low light and 1080P recording.
Indeed, IMX291 in 1080P AHD is a beast!
Nice comparison! I can't imagine how much time you spent putting this together.
Thanks! No matter how much time i spent, i had to know which one is the best in low light condition by comparing them side by side in real time, now i have the answer: 1st IMX291 for overall performance, price, avaibility, and the choice between 2000TVL CVBS, 1080P AHD, or CTV-TVI, and 2nd the SC1020, better than the IMX291 in so many ways, but simply impossible to find, and locked in AHD720P mode...
@@freddylateub7669 Smartsens looks really good, which brand camera uses them?
I like the IMX 138 for low light as well.
Если есть на испытаниях 1200mm Mini skyhunter, очен интересен обзорчик на iNav c его участием...
Do they make little steel-belted tires for R.C. cars to keep that from happening? I honestly don't know. I haven't been in a hobby shop for 25 years. I've seen video's of tires ballooning so bad they blow out so you'd think someone is making tires that don't do it.
Yes, there are different ways to get rid of ballooning, but you have to do it yourself, with duct-tape or nylon, or both, it takes some time and some practice, never tried it myself though... I wish i could buy some RC tires fiber nylon reinforced without having to do it myself!
lol It looked real tho
RIP camera
It's edited! ;) the actual camera (mobius) got some scratch but survived! These key cams are stong!!!
