I made AI rewrite world history (it went horrible)
I’m gonna make ChatGPT rewrite world history and find out whether Artificial Intelligence can replace Alternate History channels or not. So we’ll start with a very simple topic. The fall of Rome.

What if Japan was a superpower?

To change the entire trajectory of Japan and propel them into a position of power, we need to change some fundamental things about Japanese culture and society. As such, we need to choose a point of divergence from where we can start this alternate timeline. During the writing of this video I was thinking of the Sengoku Jidai or the American arrival at Japanese ports, but I finally decided on a...

      Not gonna lie, I've been using ChatGPT to make my own scenarios, such a very hypothetical scenario and alternate timelines. Such in 2024, I have no mixed opinions on Israeli-Palestinian conflict, because I decided to make the dystopian alternate timeline called "Middle East Burns", where Israel became a champion of Arab-Israeli War, and thus I made an alternate peaceful context where Israel and Palestine both united. However, if I posted this to RUclips, I would get flooded by Palestinian and Israeli comment bots.

    In order to actually win it would be these important factors that actually was effective -Further fortify the RVN -Use the Right Gunpowder & Assign Cleaning kits, although Costly would improve tactical victories & Weakening the NVA before they reform -Never conduct S&D but focus more, Continue & Expand CAP as it was effective in gaining intelligence, Trust & Support & even Repelling VC activity & Recruitment -Invade Southern Laos to Cut the HCMT with the Assistance of Thailand & Fight the Pathet, further weakening the VC & NVA -Broadcast the War less & Focus more on Victories, not only proving tactical but strategic victory in support -Conduct Vietnamization early and possibly expand it into Laos and Cambodia to fend off against Communist insurgents -The Tiller reform happens early, It increased The Economy, Improved the livelihoods of southern farmers and poor, while Repelling VC recruitment & Activity -Deploy ARVN troops & USMC to protect the DMZ, being prepare for the Tet offensive would've been much more better for the US has battle would end quicker in Allied victory more -Japan & Taiwan Joins, Although Highly unlikely or almost impossible, they could've benefited, with the Taiwanese & Japanese Assisting to Fight the NVA & VC, proving more casualties for the communist while also having Great H2H Combat skills, experience & Interagation -Invade North Vietnam but not into the Tonkin region or near it, the best way to do it, was to seize Dong Hoi & Quang Binh, proving a strategic while also ensuring china doesn't enter. *Aftermath:* The Khmer rouge & Pathet Laos never take power and would've been prosperous and give more rights, the Communist Unification never happens, The South becomes more powerful & Richer. The US has a heavy influence in Southeast Asia, Intervening in Latin America & Africa since they're close enough, The South With more land, more natural resources, better economy & No VC not embargo, Close to the Sea would've Been more prosperous & even stable, Laos, Cambodia, & S.Vietnam would've been prosperous similar to Thailand or the Philippines, then RVN shifts into multiparty democracy with an exception of no Communist nor socialist parties, DRVN shifts to socialism, as total communism proved ineffective, the cold war ends sooner with the US triumphantly winning, Maintains power & influence, makes Puerto Rico & Virgin islands into 1 state having good economic benefits for each other. The World would've been slightly safer due to China & Russia having less influence and being Outnumbered in terms of allies, the US Would've been successful in Mogadishu if they brought a single m1 abrams, but Afghanistan would've been challenging but success would've improved for the US.

    In my personal view, Japan being a superpower in East Asia meant that colonization in Southeast Asia and East Asia was not hunted because they had to fear Japanese power. If Japan had started colonization before the Sengoku period or after the end of the Sengoku period, but the Tokugawa shogunate closed the country, causing exploration to stop. In fact, Japan already had the idea of expanding its power, like Oda Nobunaga. If he had not died, he would have colonized and might have taken over China.

    If you do decide to do a part 2, you should focus on the American public, America would've never joined both world wars without a justification, and since pearl harbor doesn't even exist in this timeline, I'd imagine the American public would rebel against their government for forcing them to fight against the Japanese, especially since for over a 190 years they didn't exactly do anything to America, it was a peaceful coexistence. Don't underestimate American morale, without a tragedy like pearl harbor, it would be very hard to convince the American people to fight in a world war.

  • @BudokaiMan-mr9tw
    @BudokaiMan-mr9tw 26 дней назад

    The only part that's really inaccurate is why would resistant movements start? From I've seen, it's not like they were committing mass genocide on these people, like they were living comfortably, not too mention they've ruled over them for centuries, at that point they would call themselves Japanese, but most of all, why would an Indonesian Identity even exist? That name is actually very modern and only came about in the last 150 years, and after ruling over those islands for over 600 years, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for them too call themselves Indonesians. Also why would Japans American colonies also want independents? First of all, they haven't fought in any major wars, so saying they don't want to die for an empire so far away wouldn't make sense. Second of all, the only reason the British empire disbanded and was because America forced it too, through embargos and other political means, otherwise Canada was fine being apart of the British empire for so long, third of all, even if they suddenly received independence, you know what's going to happen, America is gonna swoop in, commit genocide on the Japanese America and take over the west Coast, so they really are better off under the Japanese empire.

    With a weakened China, France would expand their indochina influence into southern China and be somewhat of a buffer between Japan and Britain. You don't describe the relationship with the Dutch and how an opened Japan would have reacted to the christian missionaries. Also you don't describe how Japanese colonisation works. Is it just control of tribes and nations with a small nippon elite? Or is there a dense colonisation in America for example? Why did many people move, and what part of japanese society leaves and colonize? I don't really see the japanese colons in America rebelling. It's an easy parallel with the U.S. but there are several cultural and philosophical differences that would rather point to a gradual given independance from the home empire like Australia and Canada in OTL. I think with nationalism in Cina, it's far more likely that Mandchurian, Korean and Indonesians rebel to create their own states.

      You make some very good points! I was thinking of America and Taiwan being colonised by a lot of japanese immigrants while Indonesia and Korea being only led by a japanese elite. As to who exactly leaves the mainland to colonise, I got to say I haven’t really thought about that. I don’t think missionaries would have a big effect on Japanese society if they would be as strong as the european powers.

    Well first the East Romans wouldn't exactly despise the idea of Democracy though they may have disliked it or viewed it as a failed experiment, recalling the attempt in Ancient Greece and the fall of the former Roman Republic after Spartacus Defeat . If this was the Roman Republic today as you mentioned it would be similar to Britain with a Parliamentary Monarchy, But the Roman Republic would be a big hub of culture, Christian religion, History, arts, Medicine... possibly highly respected and visited by tourists from the west and east. plus having a formidable military to defend and help its allies. though as part of the agreement the US and British may have military forces in East Rome to keep an eye on them. But we could only imagine the Big "What if" of this Legendary Empire.

Good video but I think you high ball Japanese disunity. They do have a lot more numbers than the British did. Plus a very homogeneous country. Many areas would have a Japanese majority and likely stay loyal because empire would have welfare benefiting Japanese citizens. Oddly enough, this is actually what was already happening with Japan towards the end of the Sengoku Jidai under the Oda and Toyotomi clans. It was when the Tokugawa came to power and after experiencing Portuguese missionaries and the invasion of Korea, decided the rest of the world wasn’t for them and closed it all off. They felt the outside world would be a threat to their grip on power and restricted everything to just a bit of trade with the Dutch in very specific areas. You don’t have to prevent the Sengoku Jidai, you just have to prevent the rise of Tokugawa specifically which if you’ve read the history of his battles, isn’t hard. He took a lot of huge gambles both while serving under the Oda in the conflicts against the Takeda clan but also in both of the major succession grapples after the death of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Tokugawa Ieyasu could have very easily been killed in any of the three conflicts. He made a lot of crazy gambles on the battlefield and got insanely lucky.
