Male INFJ here. I've never been the loudest or most prominent person in the room, but plenty of people reach out to me about certain things.

As ESTP male, I had to study my girlfriend extensively, because she couldn't just turn on or off being in the mood instantly like me. She needs a romantic dinner first, long foreplay and lots of sweet talk + light teasing. After all that, then the Kraken is released 🤗😂

It's very hard constantly feeling people's emotions, outcomes and hoping for something better. It's really hard. Im exhausted and need to be alone for long periods.

Idealism and altruism is what makes us prime targets for narcissistic personality disorders, the love-bombing in the early stages and mirroring our maturity levels gives us a false sense that we found our soulmates. As an INFJ, being the counselor types, we intuitively know that nobody is perfect, so I don't expect my partner to be perfect. At the INFJs' core is altruism, that belief makes us one of the easiest people to get along with in a relationship. I don't find relationships challenging because as counselor types, we understand people on a profound level and we are all about harmony. What is hard in relationships is that we are paradoxical (one example out of many, as a male INFJ, I am very sensual in private with any current girlfriend but kinda stand-offish with her out in public - I am in my primary Ni-mode, oscillating between being aloof and quietly highly observant ... giving her a hot and cold misconception...because our brand of being "hot and cold" are more about our cognitive functions switching off and on than it is about any emotional manipulation), with an emphasis on needing our alone time. That's what makes ENTPs our ideal partners because they are the most introverted of the extroverts and they intuitively understand why we need our alone time from time to time, and don't guilt us about it. That understanding means the world to us, and we will come back to them fully recharged and wanting another new, fun adventure with an ENTP. As a male INFJ, my active listening skills is a huge plus on a rare date, and it maintains an air of mystery about me because I don't brag about myself, I am more interested in my date and their life's story. I had my first girlfriend at 13 (puppy love), and my first love at 17. I know other Gen X male INFJs that had similar dating experiences as mine. Why? because we gotten more reality testing out in the real world during the analog age, and the women's lib movement of the 1970s and 80s made women more sexually open, and some even loved the mysterious lone wolf types more than the braggart types. Sex wasn't uncommon for Gen X-ers, and sex is healthy for our overall well-being. I find this video topic a bit odd, who understands relationships and people better than a natural counselor type? [Edit: INFJs are complex, but not complicated due to our altruism, positive idealism, and valuing harmony makes us easy to hang out with (mistypes are complicated). Our Fe is fantastic in close personally relationships, it calibrates automatically to people's moods. As an INFJ boyfriend, I know when it's time to get close to my girlfriend (warm Fe) and when it's time to back off and give her her space (logical Ti mode). INFJs can be "snarky" at times, but I found that female ENTPs like that occasional edginess, it resonates and can go toe-to-toe with their devil-advocacy, and that's alluring for them. ]

My son is INFJ. He wasn't breathing when he was born. He never learned to crawl and was late to speak but there was always plenty 'upstairs'. It was having to go to school that destroyed him, he couldn't take it. While he lived with me, the State blamed me, I couldn't get him Statemented no matter how hard I tried. Once he had chldren of his own, they gave him every test imaginable to stop him getting custody. He's had a nightmare life. losing his many attempts at parenthood destroys him. A wee family of his own is the only thing he's ever wanted. I know one of these days they'll find him floating in the river.

If you're dating someone who's an INFJ, they'll have a bookshelf in their home filled up with a wide range of psychology books from academia to personal growth to Cluster B personality disorder with a mix of hobbies (me...photography and videography, dog trianing), technical (my case, computers and home repairs) , and entertainment books (fantasy and sci-fi). Probably has a couple of books laying around (one on or next to their bed) that they're currently reading. If not, you may have an INFJ mistype. Being the most extroverted of the introverts, we routinely make excursions out into the real world, getting a lot of reality testing, so we have a mix of being both streetwise and booksmart. It's also how we hook up with our most compatible partners, the ENTPs, because we'll mysteriously enter into their extroverted world from time to time.

I've been told by many people I got a good vibe about me. However, watching this video about empathizing segment, showing prolong hugs with an INFJ, is not very accurate. I would say our inferior Se makes us less likely to be huggers while empathizing with someone. An inferior Se makes INFJs have a very low tolerance for oxytocin, therefore oxytocin is a powerful drug for us. But, we reserve touchy feelings only for our most intimate partner. It's one of the reasons INFJs are so sensual with our intimate partners, the oxytocin makes us literally drunk while petting and caressing our partner, their body becomes a powerful drug to us. It's one reason why we flinch when someone touches us off-guard. I believe we empathize more like a professional counselor. We are great observers of human behaviors and patterns, observing is more objective than subjective, though we encompass both, just more emphasis on the objective observation. I imagine it's the ENFJs that are more of the hugger sympathizers.

You've just described me..from childhood to adulthood I've always struggled to fit in and was often misunderstood, I compromised my authenticity just to be accepted, but I have now grown enough to accept my uniqueness and be comfortable in my own skin. I'm am INFJ from Pakistan and I'm very proud of it it's true that at times I thought why am I like this can change to some other type but it's not that I love the uniqueness of my type it's obviously can be hard when you often hear things like me myself and I and that you are so mean and that you're a pathological liar I know it's normal for every INFJ but don't you worry about them you should ignore them because for everyone I know it's difficult and the thing that we INFJ people can put ourselves in anyone's shoes and I obviously don't want to change no matter how much I bear because I can burn out easily when people are telling me things about me when I know better and asking weird questions like they first didn't make me comfortable enough for that and I'm still living everyday with a lot of pressure and anxiety a new secret opens up to me about myself and I hope I get more independent with time. Because I'm the most misunderstood person, before this world ends I wanna tell them everything once I wanna explain yes that's what I actually want I wanna have a conversation with them!

INTJ-A and "reinvented" to be confident and be an extrovert if I wanted to but still introvert and rather be alone than to be annoyed with average and low IQ people. Sorry, I did see them as SUPERPOWERS, that was so much different for other people. Yes, may concern myself in things other feel insignificant. Somewhat like many pod cast show how many will by pass a crying kitten, or puppy or even a dog.. But there are others that do care, but are NOT an INFJ. I so notice the generations are slipping asway of being respectful to the community in which we live. More Self Centered, do not care that their walk way is not shoveled, but will order take out food. and not care that the person delivering has to slip and slide their way to the door.. To not be so gullible . As far as I know Being an INFJ. whenever FBI start talking about PROFILE , it is NOT a Personality Disease , it is that the INFJ FITS The HORRIBLE thing that happened of doing, and who they are looking for as they list them , fits an INFJ., I know a number of people who will put lots of time and energy into an IDEA they have. But know for fact they are not an INFJ., due to the gossips, or insults about others, or that they like to DRINK. and blow through RED Lights. But their passion in a project that they see MONEY in , they work hard a, seeing it become a Reality.. Time , yes I age I can not just zip through a painting, and need more time. to complete, but I do NOT SEE IT as a super PWOER, I see if as part of being a Perfectionist., whish is NOT FUN , but Draining, and frustrating, because I know what I have in mind but can not quite get it right in the art.. I work on it in a different room, NOT good enough. If I work on another painting, still thinking about the one not finished some times helps ,but NOW I am behind. in the GOAL I had set for myself. I was great in art, but educational ART time in school , was not drawing, but to follow directions in Mass production. As a gift to take home to our parents. I would toss mine into the trash, My mother I knew would not like it., but my teachers would take it out and keep it . Some teachers knew I was not dumb, but thought I was just lazy. But I do not see what I do as a Supper Power, to try to do better, understand where I went WRONG. Right now I plan to rearrange the art space I use, to hopefully do better, and be more effective of my time. Being part Native Indian I have often been called LONE WOLF, dance to my own drum. but I am also French, and think a bit of Dutch./German, and that part I feel plays a part in my Talent, and being a Lone Wolf. I do not see how different that is from someone who will knit or create a quilt, while Alone. They accept the cold winter months, and make use, but they are not INFJ's if the chance comes they gladly got to a Snow Mobile Race. and Party. I AM SOORY BUT I DO NOT SEE any of these 6 a SUPPER POWER.

Infj male, I have been in a relationship since I was 18 with an ISFJ. The biggest thing is compatibility. We both love each other but stay out of each others ways. She is very routine orientated and I am not. At the same time when she is overloaded I fix a lot of the issues or support. We just blend. So if you are struggling for love, just be kind to yourself and pay attention.

What does being a sigma have to do with not chasing? I don't chase because that's a beta thing to do, when you show interest it destroys her interest in you, that's how most women are today because most women are defective narcissists If you're goin to chase then go for a girl that isn't infected by f-ism and if you get hate for it then embrace it because a hateful women is your biggest fan 😆😆 It's hard not to chase but you must gain control over your desire lest it destroy you I know it sounds stupid to think that by chasing she will lose interest but think about it, her chasing you is far better because she wants you n' not the other way around, this will show you if she really wants you and is willing to do the effort to get you It makes guys look desperate and needy not to mention how many other guys are chasing her already? My boss at the time, had all employees take the test in 1991/1992 & INFJ were my results. I have lived my life using intuition. I have been able to feel when someone is ill before they know it. Sometimes even able to smell illness. I'm a Christian woman, & do not believe in psychics etc. I also could never understand why so many people were interested in being around me. Strangers telling me their innermost thoughts. I'm very uncomfortable being in crowds of people because I would rather be alone researching, reading or planning. I'm constantly taking classes at a college or online. I am a retired Accountant. Every new job I took, there were always major problems with their books. Most liked my honesty & ability to clean up & turn things around. Most never wanted me to leave but a couple were intimidated by me (I felt horrible about it) & I was fired twice in my career. Within weeks of a new job I found hundreds of thousands of dollar mistake. I was terminated because the CFO was embarrassed they didn't catch it. It was always a problem for me that I have a laser focused ability. I have never understood why another can't see what I see so clearly. Many times I was embarrassed about my ability. I thought something was really wrong with me. And then one day this test was on my desk. My test results before me, I didn't understand. Once I researched my outcome, I sat there & cried. Finally, who I am to my core, was staring back at me. I wasn't delusional. Trying to explain how I know things based on my intuition to another, is impossible. I accept my life as an INFJ but also work on my failings. Because I am older now, I have come to realize I am losing my ability to empathize. There's too much evil noise in the world & I live a simple, humble, quiet life doing a lot of writing. I'm extremely happy.
