Helping people with chronic illness feel more normal. When we're diagnosed with an invisible illness we are often labelled 'DISabled'. I didn't like that term, I felt it didn't represent me. The dictionary says 'DISability' is to lack ability or not be able to do certain tasks. We believe we still can do anything - we just have to be creative in the way we do it. I personally prefer to be called ENabled - and apparently, so do others. We're taking a stand against chronic illness and the stigma surrounding DISability.
