First Gao Ying Shallow Hook Ring Session
Nice!
What type of bow are you using? I like it nocks on the right for a right hand bow
This is a shelfless fiberglass bow (ambidextrous). They are good for beginners or to beat up on. You can get them as low as $25-$100 online. This one came from AF Archery. Many eastern style traditional bows are fired using a thumb ring and often from the opposite side of the bow compared to modern archery due to their mounted archery roots.
My godfather lives in Newport, North Carolina and they just got snow so I’m guessing you might be in North Carolina especially with the skinny tall pines that you have
Are you using a thumb ring to pull string? Great looking bow. Nice video
Dude are you scared for me to see the poundage you're pulling back? I can't read that fast
Nice! 👍
Well what was the poundage we couldn't see squat 😂you flashed that sucker so fast I couldn't see it lol
Looked like 80 something?
Nice Bow man. You remind of Dwight Shrute.
Nice horse bow
Go bald
Oh it’s got some real thwack to it
Gay
And i can say with confidence that you do not have target panic!
Brother are you not COLD??
Where can i buy a good bow like this? Im very new to all of it really other than basic knowledge lol. I don’t want something that will break on me as i like bushcrafting and being outdoors alot.

Eastern style traditional bows like this are often fired using a thumb ring. Starting out, you usually want a lighter bow (20-30#) then you can go heavier / higher quality after learning. If hunting is the main goal, modern takedown recurve bows can also be had for pretty cheap.
@ thank you i appreciate it.
I swear you were my 11th grade art teacher.
Imagine being fully kitted out then getting offed by this guy
Is it normal to shoot traditional with such a long draw length? It looks like you don't have an anchor you draw all the way past your head.
Yes. Especially this one. Manchu bows are one of the longest draws. Usually anchor at or past the jaw! I shoot a Korean bow, very similar draw.
It's very common for certain eastern style traditional bows like this one. This is a Qing style bow which can draw 33"-34" (I'm only drawing 32"). Full size Manchu bows often draw > 35".
@StevensArcheryJourney thanks bro! I thought they were the same. I love asiatic archery so much! The rich history and such beautiful and interesting designed bows with an amazing variety of decorating styles. Nice shooting!
@@matthewvassar9686 100%, I fell in love with this style as soon as I started archery and it's the only thing I do. I don't hunt, mostly do archery to learn the history and as a martial art / meditation.
Why he so zesty wit it
Bend your wrist in before that string hits your arm. Or wear an arm gaurd
Did anybody know that he is shooting a left-hand bow right handed?
It's actually ambidextrous, so there is no shelf. I believe he is drawing with a thumb ring as well.
Eastern style traditional bows are almost always ambidextrous with no shelf. Many of them are fired using a thumb ring and usually on the opposite side compared to modern archery to allow stabilizing it from horseback.
It’s sure odd
I got that same bow scale
Keep training man that is one of the most strenuous back movement you could get involved in
Just buy a compound bow, this style of archery makes you look ridiculous…. Less accurate as well
Why are you even here?
@ up next slinging arrows with our big toes
Nice! You’re not getting away from this guy! Intruder’s beware lol
also i didn't notice the bow that much the first time i watched but damn that thing looks nice

Doesn’t seem very effective or efficient if takes all your strength and hurts you. Cuz it looked like you pulled a muscle or something there at the end. But good shit getting it done💪🏼
Nice bro, I bet you're a pretty decent shot
86.06. thats decent. Easy to pull and you can still hold it.
Not easy to pull what?
86lb draw weight is NOT an easy pull 😅
Yeah, and you're talking out your rear. Post a video of you pulling that as easy
Drink another one
You’d be the guy pulling it back aiming in the sky and then straighten out…that is a hell of a pull and fluid motion gtfoh
Why he lean like that😂😂😂
That is the position you have to be in to pull an 85lbs+ bow. You have to use your back muscles not your arm muscles. So to do that you have to almost arch your back in a certain way so he leans a little forward to correct his posture while he aims.
Cuz he gone get that ass
86 pound ain’t shit try 140, 60 pounds is youth pull get the picture
Did anyone actually see what the draw wieght was?
Looks like 8686 grams or ~8,7kg or roughly 18 2nd amendments
@@1LiterSpaWater😂😂😂
I believe 86lbs.
My unemployed friend on a Wednesday at 2pm:
My Dad’s old 70’s model compound Brown Bear was an 86 lb pull. That thing was a beast to break over
Imagine you get hit with this in 30-50 pounds of armor 😂 wtf
Where are you from it looks like northern pa but so does lots of places 😂
Southeast USA, very rare for us!
@ nice lol easy guess considering the countries weather in recent times. Right on though, loved the video
Tshirt in the snow is crazy work
diabolical even😭
Bro u take any longer loading up ur gonna miss the apacolyspe 😂😂
Bro u take any longer knocking that arrow the damn apacolyspe gonna be over lmao
I need me a bow !!

Where did you get that bow
It is the Spearman Tang Changshao bow, available for order at The Cinnabar Bow (cinnabarbow.com).
Wow, what a difference in form when you compare this to a video of you from a year ago. Well done.
Nice review😊👍 what arrow spine are you using in this bow? What lenght of arrows? Is this also good for hunting use? Can this bow shoot with mediterranean draw in 29"-30" draw lenght?
I thumb draw 400-500 spine 32" arrows with this. I don't hunt but something lighter and smaller like this would make sense for that. It should be fine for Mediterranean at 29"-30", the main thing it can't do is draw beyond 32".
Thank you🤗@@StevensArcheryJourney
Who gave Collin Robinson a bow?? 🏹
113.8
This guy looked like he got a hernia on the last pull and he tried to play it off cool😅
Move it more I can't see it
100 pounds!?
Had to flex on his fellow discord mods
yeah can't see anything.
