This was a fun review! My interpretation of Wim calling out to Jod at the end was Wim's hopefulness and a call back to the first episode when he said he wants to help people when he grows up. After hearing Jod's back story Wim probably knew Jod, despite the bad things he has done, is a hurt, broken person that needs help, good people in his life and a hug!

Really enjoyed the recap crew videos. It's been so fun. ( the bagclips is what made me keep coming back each week ha ) I liked this episode. it wasn't my favourite. My rating is a 8, I liked how kids worked together to bring down the shield and alert the new Republic. Would have liked more about the jedi who taught him. The superviser gave me loki s1 vibes when the timekeepers turned out to be mechanical. Those adorables deathstar packaging are super cool. My favourite part of the show was definitely sm33, and the kids being friends in the end. That jod memes sounds so funny u should definitely make it.😂

This was a fun discussion. Lots of great theories! I really want a Jod flashback as well. I need to know his back story lol. I thought this was a fun episode! Great stream. I had fun watching the discussion. I really thought there was going to be a jod flashback, possibly at the start of the finale. I am really intrigued to see how he knows the force, I agree that he is not a jedi, especially the way he was swinging it around I also thought we would see more of the wolf pirate. I'm so sad about sm33. I'm hoping he returns somehow. I like the theory that sm33 captain could he the supervisor. But I thought the captains skeleton was the one that jod took the sword out of? Theory time: obi wan mentioned a brother. Maybe jod is his brother. I will give this episode a 7.5. Another fun discussion. Bummed I can't join the livestream. One day lol. You guys are a great duo. I loved episodes 5 and 6. It did feel like one long episode. I'm glad we finally got the episode revealing more about KB. I've been holding onto that information since I saw that interview 😂 I agree. The pirate elements are so fun. Definitely Pirates of the Caribbean vibes, especially episode 6. I love waiting each week for an episode but once it's finished I can't wait to watch it all as one long movie. That will be awesome!

Great Show, I just found your channel. I don’t think Jod was going to ditch the kids. He ordered 33 to tie them up, take them prisoner. Afterwards, Jod would have likely took the kids along and held them for ransom. Either way, Jod wasn’t going to ditch them, it was Wim who escaped with the kids when Wim triggered the trap door. Rock On, Party People 🤟🤩

You and Will mentioned KB and how she always seems to have answers for everything. When the interviews were coming out before Skeleton Crew's release, in one of the interviews the actress revealed something about her character. I don't think she was supposed to say because the actor that plays Neel started to cough when she was talking about it. What she said is most likely why she always seems to have answers. I was spoiled but I won't spoil you guys lol. I hope they reveal it in her episode

The ratings for this show are not good, because the audience was alienated by the horrible sequel trilogy, weak Asoka and Obi-Wan shows and the final nail in the coffin was your beloved Acolyte. And now even if something great is released people would not be there for it.

Well that didn’t take long. Definitely the weakest episode so far. :/ Some pretty inexplicable stuff, like the new kid who keeps sliding around everyone for no particular reason. It wasn’t BAD, but just not as good. As for the ratings….something to consider: these episodes are REALLY short, especially compared to other shows. Those ratings are gauged in total minutes watched. So if your show is half as long….it would need twice the views to break even.

Damn, sorry I missed the stream! But after how miserable I thought Acolyte was, I was cautiously optimistic this could turn it around. And it definitely did! I had so much fun watching this. And the world building (a secret hidden planet?!?) was incredible. Only one gripe. This first episode was a full show. The second was only about 20 minutes of story. It’s a common problem with these shows. They’re always just too short :/ But I loved it anyways.

This is going to be a fun month of Star Wars!

Really enjoyed both episodes of the skeleton crew. Was hooked after ep 1 ended. I also thought that jude laws character was also the pirate in the beginning. Liked all the kids, especially neel he's so funny. Smee is great also I think the mystery of at attin has something to do with the high Republic, and trying to hide something, intrigued to find out. Loved all the pirate stuff, hopefully we get a hondo appearance or mention. I'll give ep one a 7 an episode two a 8 Great video look forward to episode 3 discussion.

Just some advice. This is NOT the way to do the greatest Star Wars series (SWTCW) just for a reaction. There are earlier arcs that are just as important if not more. You could have done your channel and (potential) subscribers justice by doing the entire series. And you should NOT entertain spoilers, leads, advice from folks who just ruined an arc based on viewing and opinion. People say they hate something, yet there are worse characters. I am disapponted and will not be watching this video. This is a piece of my mind about how things SHOULD HAVE went for the sake of being a fan of Star Wars. 💢💢💢

I think someone already mentioned it but Umbara arc is basically Star Wars vietnam arc, friendly fire, shitty officers and fragging, booby traps, environmental dangers and air strikes included.

2:50 They based an entire hotel built for extroverted people and tried to sell that service to a bunch of people who are, mainly, introverts. Also, they lock guests in a windowless box with a bunch of interactive screens for 2-1/2 days and charge more than an ACTUAL cruise with real views, fresh air, a better realized destination, more options for entertainment and activities, and lasts for 5 or 6 days. Hmmm...why didn't this hotel experience work? 🤔🤔🤔 Also, all the atmosphere and the alien interactions that were promised for Galaxy's Edge were stolen away from the land itself and put behind that ridiculously expensive paywall, which ost of us resented. They need to take the ideas from the hotel and put them back in GE where they were supposed to be start with. - Create a GOOD sit-down reservation-only restaurant with a dinner show with Gaya, Andro, and Ouanni, 2 shows a night, switch the singers out each day. And while Gaya herself might be "too famous" to wander the park, there could be scheduled meet and greets with her, and let Sandro and Ouanni do the wandering like other characters. - Put the adventure tasks that you had to do during your "layover" on Batuu on the Disney phone app and let guests make the world more interactive that way. The smuggler and First Order characters can be out in the park interacting with guests there the same way they did in the hotel. - The "stories" attached to each faction (First Order, Resistance, and Smuggler) were not long enough nor complex enough to have to have been spread out over 2 days; do like most Renaissance festivals do and weave those stories throughout skits and shows all around the park (this is where that app thing comes back into play, because you will attend a "secret meeting" with the relevant character at specific times of day) all culminating in the big finale show on at the end of the day. Ex: my renn faire did a story where, at opening gate, a man "disrupted" King Henry's opening gate speech, insulting the queen and challenging Henry's right to the throne; guards chase him he gets away, Henry orders the crowd to alert him and his guards at once if we see this man again during the day. A couple of hours later during the royal parade, another man causes a stir, gets chased, runs away. Then at the first joust of the day, a Black Knight character emerges as some mysterious challenger to Henry's champion, defeats the royal champion, and again calls Henry a false king, but rides off (after a fight), eluding the guards. The 2nd guy--the one who interrupted the parade--is making his way through the crown on the black knight's side of the field, encouraging people to boo the king and the champion and cheer for the black knight. For the next four hours, both men are occasionally seen throughout the faire park, "plotting" with other villagers and goading them into "rebellion". Near the end of the day, during the king's court, 2nd guy again gets into mischief, he and the first guy, now revealed to be his brother, have swordfights with the royal guards. That's when they finally reveal that they are Richard and Edward Plantagenet, the true heirs to the throne (the princes who supposedly died in the Tower as kids) and challenge Henry to a big duel which is resolved on the joust field between Richard (the black knight) and the king's champion, who first joust and then finish in a four-way sword duel between Richard and Edward vs Henry and the Captain of the Guards. You wanna keep people in GE all day? Give them something to do there other than wait in line for a broken ride.

The first 10 or so chapters of the book are quite good, all the stuff while they are still on Endor. Leia's dress is green because the author grew up (like me) on the Star Wars EU stories, and those Legends stories tell us that green is the color for Corellian wedding dresses. Additionally, the robes of state for an Alderaanian official in "The Courtship of Princess Leia novel reflect Alderaan's "official colors" of green trimmed in white and gold. The author slips in several EU references in subtle and thoughtful ways, and her characterization of the couple feels on the spot...right up until the moment they go on this honeymoon. From there on, it feels like the author was given a specific set of "plot" points she needed to use and characters she was supposed to reference. As a writer, I have to say the rest of the book doesn't feel like her own creation, but like she was writing from someone else's outline. And the characters she seemed to know inside out while they were on Endor become different people. They are _sent_ on this honeymoon, first of all; Leia doesn't want to go, she thinks there is to much work to do that is more important than a jaunt on a starcruiser, but she agrees because it's framed as PR thing and a way for the Rebels to get the word out that yes, Palpatine really is dead (tho, ofc, the reader knows he isn't if they have seen the sequels). And from the get-go Leia is trying to manipulate the captain to take the ship somewhere _else_ where she can make contact with a world leader she needs to talk to. Never mind that it's an ice-world and the whole ship full of passengers packed for the tropical climate of their final destination. She also comes off as ignoring/being dismissive of Han. Han, in the meantime, is pouting that he didn't get his own way and take Leia on the Falcon and just park in the middle of space for 2 weeks keeping Leia in the bedroom the whole time. He seems to resent the fact she is a public figure and something of a celebrity who draws attention from both crew and the passengers, all of whom seem to want to talk to her. So...he forgot she's a princess? That they are on this boat as a PR stunt which he helped goad her into doing? And rather than stand there WITH her and be a supportive spouse, he gets bored and bitchy and goes to play sabacc in the engine room with some crew. They spend the rest of their time together not really together, not working as a team, and isn't until the last 2 or 3 chapters that they finally get on the same page again. As if somebody said, "Their marriage is going to break up 25 years from this point, so we better set that up _now_ to be believable." Because, you know, people don't just grow apart after their kids grow up and leave home...that would never work. The terrible cap on the end of the novel is Han presenting Leia with the "present" of having had a kitchen installed in the Millenium Falcon... _so she can cook for them._ Which, again, is why I think this wasn't the author's choice, but something she had to add because there is a kitchen in the Falcon set in the movie, Leia is seated near it, and the visual dictionary claimed that the kitchen was a gift from Han after they got married. The reason I am convinced this was not the author's idea is that she clearly grasped/actually knew of all the EU references she made in the first part of the book, and the EU long ago established Han Solo as the cook in the family. He was raised on a ship among other orphans by a Fagin-type who had a female Wookiee as the cook for his ship (explaining why Han is fluent in Shriiwook), and she was Han's protector and taught him how to cook for himself, partly so that if he ever escaped this guy, he wouldn't starve out on his own. Leia, on the other hand, was raised as a princess and didn't have much experience at all, though Han had taught her how to make a stew she was particularly good at, but that was it. Any author writing from the EU also knows that no matter which technical plans of the Falcon you used, most of them already had a kitchen in them, and Han was experience in preparing food for himself and Chewie. Anyway...I don't recommend the book overall. It has a great beginning and flashes of brilliance, but the whole bit with the starcruiser just reads like the marketing stunt it is (or, was, since the hotel shut down).
