    Well, since you guys are magicians and all, trying to stay alive.............if you could swing everything so we don't have to yard it at all would be optimal 😂😂😂😂😂. The shade reduction guy life, if you could dump em right onto a log truck there'd still be somethin more they want you to do. Oh, fill out the tickets and brand em while you're right there at the butt, that's what it would ve lmao. Safe cuttin pard

      Yea a lot is expected out a guy, Some loggers are cool, the outfit we are cutting this unit for is awesome actually we cut all their units. But sometimes the plan on paper doesn’t make sense when you’re on the ground.

    • @woos31
      @woos31 Месяц назад

      @Douglas-Fir well on the other side of that coin being it's s good outfit to cut for, you wanna do anything you can for them but the ground won't let you................at least I would, but I've never been a production shade reduction specialist as my job, because I was raised by them and they wouldn't have their boys follow the industry after having lost uncles, friends, and cousins...........as bad as I still want to at 37, it's just firewood for this guy lol

    Why are y’all cutting so close to each other?

    • @Douglas-Fir
      @Douglas-Fir 2 месяца назад

      It happens and it’s something that can be done safely. Two tree lengths is considered safe, if that can’t happen for some reason then it’s more or less shoulder to shoulder. One guy cuts while the other watches and you take turns until there is room. It all depends on how a unit is laid out and what the ground is like.

  • @DynamiclandandTimber
    @DynamiclandandTimber 6 месяцев назад

    How do you know where the tree is going to fall? My brother in law and i tried cutting one in his back yard and we put a birds mouth in it away from the house and slanted the cut in the back side and it wouldnt fall and so we hoooked his lawn mower to it up as high as we could reach with a ratchet strap and than i tried cutting more and than it slipped off backwards and flipped the lawn mower over and hit the house amd i was just like what the heck

    • @Douglas-Fir
      @Douglas-Fir 6 месяцев назад

      Most of the time it’s just luck really, honestly sounds to me like you guys did everything right, Sometimes you just gotta see if it work. Just hearing the situation I think I probably would have done it the same way, maybe 2 ratchet straps???

    • @DynamiclandandTimber
      @DynamiclandandTimber 6 месяцев назад

      @Douglas-Fir thanks for the reply and advice. He's got another one we were gonna try after we finish fixing his roof. This time we were going to try pulling it with two lawn mowers hooked together with some big zip ties, kind of like a lawn mower train. Also I bought a 170 stihl is that what you guys use? His black and decker corded saw just ain't cutting it.
