Serious question: Why does it seem like these experts all have very low rated credits on IMDB?

Ironically, this author's verbose explanation regarding how he ended up writing his books, put me completely off of considering buying either of them, not to mention his egomaniacal claim that one needs to take his TWO YEAR course in order to learn how to write a movie. That's ridiculous, but when I think about it, if it takes him so long to explain what a dilemma is, I guess it would take him two years to explain how to write a movie. As for the 'Hero's Dliemma', uh, sorry, that's not that profound. Just a tweak on 'The Hero's Journey. And why, why, why, do these 'experts' never have any IMDB credits?

Great interview! It's important to encourage aging screenwriters, especially unproduced, to keep being inspired and continue writing and improving their craft. What Brad has introduced, The Grey List, is a very promising addition to opportunities for writers to help other writers reach their goals. I'm glad I found this podcast. Paul is a knowledgeable host and a really good writer. I look forward to viewing more interviews.

I think it's good to acknowledge that for some, success comes after years of dedication and efforts on smaller ventures behind the scenes building a solid foundation and feathing the nest -as it were. (In any given field really) It's obvious that, genuine enthusiam and passion for a creative venture is what has ultimately propelled you through. I think those are the qualities which make the best sorts of podcasts to listen to 😊, no matter what the subject is. While listening to this, i was thinking it must be difficult to deliver creative content spontaneously and authentically (maybe🤔) when you're under pressure to do so. I know my musings are not at the mercy of my control. Just happen as and when my brain starts firing up - in that creative sort of way -then i can end up writing a few verses somestimes within minutes. All interesting stuff. All the best.

So anything original you input into these AI tools becomes public property and can be leveraged at will elsewhere. That seems like a bit of IP bleed especially if you have not published your work yet. I am very wary of inputting even parts of my writing for grammar checks since this then is sucked up by the AI tool. Thoughts?

I thought it was a cool idea to have the character read the book! Why is the guy on the right being such a Negative Nelson? Dude...different strokes for different folks, don't be so judgey. IDK who you are, but that came off condescending and pretentious. Continued watching and wow....super pretentious throughout the whole video! ....direct quote here, "Which is great, but I guess for me I just like the whole creative process" as if the guy on the left isn't being creative? It's his story, his ideas, his driving of the AI, he's the creative director. I heard the guy on the left mention ADHD (I thought), as a fellow ADHD writer, who has been struggling since the pandemic hit, to get back into the flow after writing 30 successful novels in under 5 years, I've recently started using AI, just to help where I'm struggling. Does it mean I'm not overflowing with creative ideas? Does it mean I'm not actually performing the whole creative process? Absolutely not! I'm just struggling to keep the train on the tracks these days. The pretentiousness is astounding to me. (Which is great, but I guess, for me, I just like the whole non-judgemental approach to being a human.) To the dude on the left, I'm not even done watching this video, but I appreciate your ideas thus far. I'll keep watching the video to hear what you have to say and have already bookmarked a couple of the websites you've referenced. Thanks!

Hey Douglass -- it's not truly deleted. I just made it private. Unsure what I want to do with it at this stage. It may come back at some point in one form or another, but I don't have the bandwidth to sort through what that form will be, so for now, I guess you could say it's, "in the vault." As for me, I don't know that there is any truly amazing recent news, but there are a few exciting irons in the fire and hopefully one or more of those will move when the strike ends. Thanks - hope you're well.
