My vehicle really needs this but that looks like a lot of work . Perhaps I’ll leave it till next summer and dedicate an entire day to wrestling those bolts and seats. I’m tired just watching you but this was super helpful for when I at home detail my Traverse.

This is really helpful! Just bought a used 2010 and its been destroyed by someone else's family. Want to get it back in shape so it can then be destroyed again by my toddler, 😅

Anyone have a video of putting the plastic track shields back in? Been trying to get mine back in for several hours and cannot figure out how to get the plastic under the seat and back into the correct position without breaking the shield(s)

My chevrolet traverse middle seat doesn't get flat i need help

I’m so happy to come across your channel. I have a 2016 Traverse and there seem to be very few channels showing camping set ups for Chevrolet vehicles let alone Traverses! Safe travels with your precious children!

I have a Vivitar that looks exactly like this but black (probably using the same manufacturer as this radio and just rebadged). I bought it at Dollar General for $8. Coby also has one that looks exactly like this withe the same color case, there's also a few other brands using the same design. I was hoping it would have been an analog radio, but those days are long gone, and is a DSP based radio with analog style tuning, on AM you can't really tell it's DSP based, but on FM you sure can tell it's DSP. That being said it does get loud (uncomfortably loud), it can somehow push my Maono MH601 studio headphones to quite loud volumes, and doesn't sound tinny and thin. It's no high power output with ear shattering bass, but the bass is there and not overbearing. My only complaints other than it being a DSP based receiver is that it's mono output, and the AM tuning only goes up to 1600, instead of 1700, this radio seems like it was meant for the EU market more than it is for the USA market (but it does seem to tune in the proper stepping to receive the stations on AM in the USA, in the EU the tuning step is 9KHz and in the USA is 10KHz).

How much did you end up spending.

What about the nuts that dropped from underneath the vehicle? Those bolts are through bolted. How do you plan on getting those back on? Or are the nuts tack welded underneath? This video did not explain that.

Can i remove the seat and not the tracks?

Thanks for the tips! I wanted to remove one seat in my Enclave (same design) for extra luggage room for a trip but decided it wasn’t worth the hassle. This design stinks. Really miss my Honda Odyssey where the seats just folded and tilted out without need to remove any trim or bolts!

One question could this project work with a full size bed?

For someone who doesn't have an ikea near finding a video with all target supply was amazing.

Mine just arrived and I spent a half-hour, spinning the tent fabric around, trying to figure out where the so-called pockets were and another half-hour trying to get the tent pole in correctly (I gave up, I think it's a foot too long, haha). I'm sure I will love the product, but the tent pole is a nightmare to install without an extra hand. (4'11" and 72 years old). After watching you, I will try again tomorrow! Thanks!

Props to you... I really command you for your efforts. I used an impact wrench for mine (Buick enclave) still was a pain in butt... And the weight of the seat is insane... I don't think I'm going to do that again ever... Funny thing is that I was inspired by your video and decided to do mine and it turned out to be tiring...

Lydia, once you got the seats out how did you get the tracks clean? And we’re you successful? I got mine as clean as I possibly can without taking the seats out but it still wasn’t really enough

I have been in the Auto Body repair field for about 50 years and I was very impressed with your breakdown and explanation as you discovered your way through the process. The reason the seat track bolts were so tight is that the factory uses Loc-tite thread lock on them so that they don't vibrate out, If you look at the threads after you have the bolt out, you will notice blue or yellow on the threads. The different colors basically indicate a 'grip strength'. If you can put a little 'heat' to a bolt head it will twist out super easy. Good Job!

I guess I would have been a much happier Traverse owner had these been as easy to remove on Chrysler T & C minivan. Sigh.

Did this fix the issue with the seats not folding and sliding? My car has the same issue but even after it was detailed it wouldn't slide.
