    The green card do have its value; especially for those who want those points. However, there are some issues with getting this card. For starters, I would not recommend this, nor any Amex card, to anyone who is new to the credit card game. That's where "starters cards" come to play; card that have 0 annual fees, 0 apr for the first 12-18 months. Even with the starter cards, they either have better or compatible rewards to the Amex green card at 0 the price. And when compared to a travel card like the Chase Sapphire Preferred (CSP), the green card is dominated. The CSP have a $95 annual fee but you get a $50 hotel credit every year (which is IMO more valuable than the 100 lounge credit with the Green card). The gold card isn't that bad as you're getting 240 credit that should be used in food delivery that cuts down the annual fee from $250 to $10. Also, I have to agree with Cristian145, I thought that Amex made some great changes to the green card (which is why I watched the video); but it appears that the title was clickbait. In terms of possible changes, the word is that Amex may consider raising the annual fee on some/all their credit/charge cards. If they do that & change nothing to the green card, then this card would be close to worthless at that point. Another thing, even though it was never stated anywhere, I'm assuming that this is towards Amex value customers as there were only comparison amongst Amex charge cards (green, gold, regular platinum) & there was no mention of cards from other banks; which is a huge flaw since cards from other banks are just as popular & some are even better than Amex cards. I'm sorry, while I see value in getting the green card mostly when there's a limited time off sign up bonus; there are too many cards (one of them being the gold card) that are better than the green card.

  • @Cristian145
    @Cristian145 3 месяца назад

    If you’re currently paying for Clear and don’t have high enough status with a qualifying airline to get the price down to $150, then the Green card is a no-brainer discount on your Clear membership. Otherwise, you should really run the numbers and see if a different unlimited 2x points everywhere or a different no-annual-fee 3x travel card like the WF Autograph would fit your life better.

    • @FahadFinance

    • @FahadFinance

      Both are pretty much identical. Biggest difference right now is the welcome bonus. CIBC requires $15K spend in the first year but waives the annual fee. TD is $10K in the first year but you pay the annual fee.

    Hey Fahad , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you enhance Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your video to reach to a wider audience .

    Great advice and sound advice. Nothing is for free or risk free, the awards can be bountiful or they can be so so. But no taking no chance equals no reward at all. Unless your happy with falling behind annual inflation because your afraid of what may or may not happen. This is good advice for not only financial situations but also for life in general. Great content.
