Great job gentleman Thank you
I'm just glad the rigs are rad. Otherwise you guys would be in trouble.
I want one.
Thank you for such a great history lesson ! Thanks Greg and Bill. Look at how far we have come and the younger generation needs to see they would not have what they have if not for these innovations!
I watched this video and still did it haha… I survived!!
Another great video! Thanks Greg and Bill!
Why is the pvc handle your favorite? Is there a specific technical reason ? Is it more safety? In case that i’m playing freefly do you think that the pvc is better than freefly handle?
My favourite pc handle is "couille d'autruche"
Wow, do you guys make 27” F-111 pilot chutes?
Greg! What a good dude. Helped me with my V308 back in 2012, been way too long
Great Vid!
love this series!
This dude got me to buy my first stow less bag at my first 4th of July boogie my first year of skydiving in Dallas . His seminars during the weather holds were amazing!
Hell yeah. Stowless is the way to go.
legend Greg thanks so much for the info.
What's the name of the intro song?
Excellent as always
I'm just plane too old now but if I was still jumping your system would be on my rig as fast as I could get it. I always liked your forward thinking , my hat is off to you !!😅
HaHa I just Noticed I’m on the Video lol I’m Famous!😂
I love you Greg Rau! And UPT of course! 🥰💞🪂
Greg and the UPT team are great they did do a great job of educating us freshlings. Met Greg at Fresh Meet in Paris we didn’t get to jump at all that day so it was nice having UTP and other Vendors there to talk to. Nice guys 🤘🏽
今日、飛びました❗
Some people would always tell me that my closing loop was too loose, as Greg shows here. Riggers would argue that any bumps or during flight could easily knock the pin out of the loop, therefore needing it to be as tight as possible. Could you advise?
How often? Once per 30 days, or once per 180 days? Also, is exercising the 3-ring webbing not needed anymore?
I love that you are active on making videos like this it’s soo helpful
Why not stack the rizers?
Great question! We suggest a slight offset of the risers when routing against the side of the reserve tray, under the internal riser covers, to allow for a low bulk and flush display during packing. This will in turn, limit interaction between the front and rear riser during opening sequence. WIN/WIN!
Why has you closed the top bands ( shoulders bands) at the last moment?
Greg, through MANY MANY pack jobs, has found that he personally likes to use the magnetic riser covers to hold in place until he has finished his pack job. He finds this to be an easy way to insure correct magnetic polarity when packing lots of different Vector containers. He finalizes the pack job on his Vector by neatly securing the external riser covers as shown. This is his personal preference of order for speed and efficiency. Thanks for the question!
What is the model being packed in the video?
This is Greg's favorite! It is a 2017 Vector v320 Micron with our Kryptec Typhon Cordura.
Know some wingsuiters who put the stows of the d-bag, to the top of the rig , instead of the bottom , they claim it gives a better opening for wingsuiting
Great tip! Thanks!🤟🤟🤟
fukc.... I wish I knew this was so easy to replace the loop. The other day, I took out the old loop and struggled to get the new one for almost 2 hours. Love these shorties with #GetGearedUPT.
This is amazing. I followed all the steps and not only is my lower back carpel tunnel gone, but it's added 3 points to a 4-way and made my swoops 25% longer due to less drag. You're a hero Greg!
🤣
Also check that the approved reserve canopies haven't changed since the rig was made. Customer bought a Vector and optimum reserve direct from UPT and found out 3 years later that the combination was no longer allowed.
If you spot a dog in this video there is a huge chance that you pay attention how to buy used rig.
Watching this now before I jump🥵🧐
The "spinning malfunction" is simply misleading. If you fly a high performance canopy, You will not spin once around and then chop. From experience, I would not recommend an RSL, or even the magic that is SkyHook for any high performance canopy. Why? Because I hate spinning on my back on my reserve. I know I know. It was all my fault, and never the actual gear.....But seriously, if you jump an HP canopy, you don't need an RSL....And if you do, maybe take a look at your decisions.
i use a different method when i stow the lines i aim for the infinity sign and make each layer slightly smaller …. i wish i could post a short video in the comments
So I do the same as you but think I might be putting a twist in the lines when bringing to down the tray. Was hoping this video could clarify that.
where was it?
Sweden
Amazing video ❤
I miss flying with you, Bill Booth...Always loved my Vector, thinking about getting back into the sport and purchasing a new one! Merry Christmas to all!
Congratulations to the UPT team. I enjoy the history, innovations and explorations Bill shares.
Cool video, I wish you much more success and positivity in the next 50 years, UPT is an amazing rig/container company. Merry Christmas to you all and to have a happy and healthy new year 2023. Best of luck!
We hope 50 more....best innovators in our sport !
What's the song at 5:36 they played a version of this on the recorded videos at skyventure Orlando before it turned into ifly over a decade ago
Speed up production, stop wasting time
This video was helpful. Especially putting the canopy in the bag
Where's the skydiving lawyer?? I remember him from 2006ish.
this is the most unintentionally terrifying video i’ve ever seen
Excellent! Exit altitude?
